ACOTAR Alternate Ending

To be honest, I thought ACOTAR was horrible even before I read ACOMAF. I loved Feyre's character and Prythian, but Tamlin ruined it. I'm not lying, I really did hate him from the start—to a point where I didn't want to read ACOMAF at all until my good friend Asikaia_Blueblood insisted, and it was amazing, so I'm really glad I did. But I feel like ACOTAR did a horrible job of drawing readers in.

So there's this idea I've had for a long time, for an ACOTAR alternate ending. It would only change the last quarter or third or whatever of the book. Do you guys remember that scene where Feyre went back to Tamlin's manor after Nesta convinced her to go back? And then Alis explained everything to her, about the curse and stuff?

In the real book, Feyre's reaction is all like oh Tamlin... spent so long trying to win my heart of his court... so brave, oh I love him so much... 

But in MY ending, after hearing about how he needed a human girl to love him and stuff, her reaction would be something along the lines of this: so he never really loved me. It was all for his court, he doesn't actually care. And then she would get all mad, but since she thought that the rest of the Spring Court and Prythian didn't deserve to be under Amarantha's rule, she'd be super brave and go rescue them but NOT FOR TAMLIN. When she completed the tasks and stuff, she'd go back with Tamlin and he still thinks she loves him, but inside, nope. 

Then, ACOMAF would be nearly exactly the same except for the very beginning, because they'd still have a wedding. She would be grumpy around Rhys at the start just like normal because even though she doesn't love Tamlin, she doesn't particularly like Rhys either (but by the end of ACOMAF we all know how THAT goes). 

It isn't perfect, but I feel like an ending more like this would draw readers in. Initially the end of ACOTAR would be pretty much the same, but Feyre would be torn between her non-love for Tamlin and her dislike for Rhysand, leaving readers wanting more but not so much of a cliffhanger that it's a bad first book. If this had been the ending, I definitely would have wanted to read ACOMAF.

Well, that's all I've got. Comment or vote if you agree that this is a better ending. But it's just what I would prefer, maybe because I never was a Feylin shipper, but anyway yeah this is my ACOTAR alternate ending.
