The Next Day
I heard my cell phone alarm ring. I shut it off, rolled over and fell asleep again. I needed to use the bathroom so I had to wake up. I glanced at the clock and saw that it was 10.30.
Oh shit! I ran to the bathroom and took a quick shower. I didn't bother with my hair and clothes. I saw myself in the mirror and thought I might as well get a haircut at the salon in the mall. Bright passed a comment saying that I was looking sloppy which touched some nerves.
I ate a banana and quickly gulped down a glass of milk. I half ran and half walked to the mall. I spotted Kong standing there looking dapper. He had on dark jeans, button up shirt and a sweater. He had his sleeves rolled up showing off his muscular arms. My steps slowed down and I gave myself a once over. I looked like a slob compared to Kongpope.
Should I go home and change? Why did he have to dress up just to meet me? I sighed thinking anything Kongpope related was stressing me for some reason. Wait...why did I care how we looked when we were together? I never cared about these things when I'm with Knott, Prem, Bright and Toota. Why did I care now? I settled for 'lack of sleep' being my reason for the weird thoughts.
I walked up to him and he smiled widely as soon as he saw me.
'Sorry, Kongpope...I slept in...why are dressed so...' I didn't finish my sentence.

'Sawadeekhap P'Arthit. It's okay. I just got here myself...dressed like what?' He looked confused.
'So anyways...what do you need to buy?'
'Follow me.'
Kongpope led the way to a department store. We walked around browsing when I found that we were in the children's toy section. I saw Kongpope grab two stuffed dolls.
One was a stuffed lion and the other one a turtle. He turned to me holding them. I blinked a few times thinking why did this image make him look cute?
Arthit! Don't be using such adjectives. This is Kongpope! Not some girl. Why are you thinking cute! My mind was arguing with me.
