Sounds of pots and pans clinging together woke up Aja from her much needed sleep. 8:30am.  Her head throbbed terribly, remembering the unlimited shots she and Mina took off of each other then calling Kyrie with slurred speech. She turned onto her side and smiled at Kendall and Sasha cuddling in Kyrie's spot.

"Mommy's little sleepy heads." Aja whispered kissing them both on the cheek.

They hadn't budged. It was amusing that both Kendall and Sasha slept like they'd just worked night shifts at McDonald's.

The thought made her chuckled and make her way to the bathroom.

After handling her hygienic needs and taking much-needed advil, Aja made her way to the kitchen where she heard Kyrie cursing himself.

"Fuck." Aja pushed the door open quietly watching him.

Kyrie ran his finger under cool water while watching his pots on the stove. He looked over at Aja who couldn't help but laugh at his efforts to cook breakfast.

"I was trying to surprise you and the kids with breakfast in bed but as you can see its not really going as planned." He shook his head and chuckled.

Aja walked over to him and turned the water off then examined his hand. He had a decent size burn mark, no bigger than a quarter. She grabbed a band aid and Neosporin from the medicine drawer then dried off his hand.

Kyrie let the silence build for a moment hoping that she would speak.

"I guess that was God's way of getting me back for the crap I've been giving you." He said. "Baby, I'm really sorry about taking my anger out on you and speaking to you the way I have these days. I promise I'll try to do better." He turned Aja to face him.

Aja couldn't if even believe his words because Kyrie was too busy trying to convince himself that his words were true.

"Today, I really don't want to talk about anything pertaining to our relationship, honestly I just want to enjoy being around the kids without any arguing or nagging." Aja applied the antiseptic to avoid his eyes.

Kyrie nodded quietly as the band-aid covered his scar. "Am I pushing it if I ask for a kiss?" He asked pushing her hair back under the satin scarf.

"Yes you are, we're not friends." Aja mushed head from in front of hers.

As much as I want to throw hot grits on his ass for talking to me sideways, I still love him but there are some things that we as a couple need to work on. She thought while washing her hands.

"It's like that? Aight." He sucked his teeth.

"I'm going to wake up the kids and please while I'm gone try not to burn down the house." Aja said exiting the kitchen.

The delicious aroma hit Aja's nose as she came down with Kendall and Sasha attached to each side of her. She felt a collective amount of drool on her shoulder coming from Kendall's mouth. It was odd that Sasha hadn't really grown much for a seven-year-old. She was still light enough to be carried.

"Mommy, did daddy make turkey bacon?" Sasha asked as Aja put her down.

"I believe so baby but you won't know until we sit down and eat. In the meantime, go ahead and watch some cartoons." Aja said touching her cheek.

"Okay mommy." Sasha said before walking into the living room.

Aja returned to the kitchen where Kyrie still remained wiping the kitchen counters. He looked up noticing his wife and son had entered.
