Chapter Thirteen: Truth

Kyrie knocked on the door of the bathroom for the third time waiting for Aja to come out. She was so nervous she'd made herself sick before they could place the mic on. The camera crew arranged their equipment as they waited for Tamron Hall to finish her hair and makeup. Before knocking once more, Kyrie glanced down at the time.

"Babe, open the door." He placed his ear against the door and heard her vomiting.

I need to find something that'll calm her down so I can get my baby back home. He sighed.

"Good morning everyone," Tamron spoke as Aja flushed the toilet.

The staff members greeted her as she walked in the direction of her guests.

Kyrie heard the sound of water running as Tamron approached him. He felt a tap on his shoulder.

"Good morning, Mr. Kyrie Irving, it's so nice to finally meet you." Tamron smiled and shook his extended hand.

"Good morning, Tamron and it's nice meeting you as well." Kyrie looked at the door.

"Is Mrs. Irving around? I've been trying to ask her opinion on my new look."  Just as Kyrie was about to answer the door opened.

Aja smiled lightly. "Sorry to keep you waiting, baby," Aja said. "These nerves are messing with me."

She hadn't realized that Tamron was standing there due to the door blocking the view.

"It's fine, beautiful. Do you need any coffee or anything before we go on?" She shook her head quietly while popping a piece of gum in her mouth as closed the door.

Tamron cleared her throat making Aja's eyes stretch out. She was a huge fan of Tamron and had no clue they were going to be interviewed by her. The whole car ride Aja paid no attention to the title of the show or the host's name because how bad her nerves were. When they walked through the set Aja ran to the restroom.

"Oh my god, Tamron Hall. I'm a huge fan had I known you were going to be doing the interview I would've done something different to my hair." Aja hugged her tightly.

"It's Tamron Hall!" Aja mouthed to Kyrie.

Kyrie smiled. "I know." He mouthed back.

"What, Aja you look great and I'm a fan of yours," Tamron laughed at Aja's excitement as they released from the hug. "I wanted to know what you thought of my look before we go on camera." Tamron posed.

"You look absolutely fabulous." Aja complimented.

"We go on in five." A staff member announced aloud. "Aja and Tamron, I'm sorry to interrupt but we need to place the mic on you both."

"Okay. I'll see you in a few." Kyrie said kissing Aja's forehead.

He watched Aja who was previously nervous walk off with Tamron Hall.

"Kyrie, you really need to try these lemon filled donuts they are delicious." Kyrie shook his head at Greg grabbed a few more.

Everywhere we go this man has to eat up all the food. Kyrie sighed walking over to him.

After adjusting the lights for the trio, the countdown began. Aja grabbed Kyrie's hand squeezing it. He rubbed the top of her hand with the pad of his thumb.

"No need to be nervous, just be honest and let everyone watching know that you both are learning from this." Tamron patted Aja's knee before taking her seat.

"Tamron we're live in 3, 2, 1."

"Good morning everyone, I'm Tamron Hall and your watching 'What's Happening', today I'm sitting down with the celebrity duo, Kyrie, and Aja Irving, they are here today to discuss the video that has everyone talking. Now, before we start, we must talk about your outfits. Who styled you both this morning?" She smiled.
