Al brushed past the crime scene tape, the scent of blood never affected him but as he stood over the puddle he felt his gut heave and he knew he was seconds away from losing what little food he had in his stomach.

They had arrived within mere minutes after receiving the call, the scene was chaotic and now two hours later it was eerily calm.

The coroner had finished up and was on his way back to the morgue, all that was left to do now was wait and hope for a miracle.

Adam leaned against the concrete pillar, he just wanted some fresh air but it was a madhouse outside the hospital, the media had caught wind of what had happened and it seemed every station in Chicago was represented.

The last thing he wanted to do was deal with the media, they were fucking vultures looking for the tiniest scrap, and they'd do anything to get it.

Adam wasn't going to give them a soundbite, no fucking way. The parking garage seemed to be a safe haven and he was now trying to get his shit together. He hated the look on Kim's face, he hated that there wasn't a damn thing he could do to take her pain away.

Erin took the seat next to Kim, "Just so you're aware..." she paused, taking Kim's hand in her's, "Sean's here."

"W-what?" Kim stammered, she knew he wouldn't go quietly into the night but she never expected him to show up at the hospital, "Where?"

Erin jerked her head to the right, "Some vacant office, Platt's got a few uniforms sitting on him, she tried to get him to leave but he refused. She warned him to stay away from you..."

He was the last person she wanted to see, but it was pretty typical of Sean, "What does he know?"

"Nothing." Erin replied, "Voight and Olinsky iced him out...he only gets to know what you want him to know." He never wanted anything to do with London before, he certainly wasn't going to be kept in the loop as he had so eloquently put it.

Kim sat the now stone cold cup of coffee on the small table in front of her, "Nothing. He's to know nothing. He's nothing to her." Her voice was laced with venom, it was firm for the first time in days. This was one thing she could control,

"Understood." Erin massaged her temple with the pad of her right index finger, "Have you been given an update yet?"

"No" Kim replied softly, her bottom lip quivering as she spoke.

Erin grabbed her hand and sat back in the chair, she wasn't going to leave Kim's side. She'd leave the guys to determine what had gone down in the parking garage. Kim needed her more than the guys did.

Peter pulled the door open and poked his head out of it, he looked in both directions, "Ma..we gotta go." It was quiet and he knew it wouldn't last.

It was now or never.

Gloria lifted London up in her arms, the medicine having worn off and it was clear that she was in immense pain, "Mommy's here baby, so is Bubba. We're going to keep you safe and you'll feel better in no time."

Peter's skin crawled as he heard his mother use the nickname Kaitlyn had used for him, his sister would be turning over in her grave if she knew what their mother had done. He had no idea on how things had gotten this bad, how completely off they rails they had gone. Never in a million years would he have imagined his mother having the wherewithal to put something like this in to motion.
