chapter eighteen

I wake up not sure where I am.

I feel myself naked under the sheets.

Oh fuck no! Not another drunk one night stand.

After my last one night stand in Miami, I told myself I was so done with them.

I get out of bed and get dressed.

Am glad I have my phone with me. I check the time. It's nine am.

Oh fuck! my uncle is going to kill me.

"Am glad you're finally up,I made us breakfast."

Are you crazy? This was a one night stand not some romantic shit for you to do that. I have to go now.

"You don't even want to know my name, I mean we had a good time last night."

Well I can't recall shit!

"But will I see you again?"

I don't know but I have to go cause am late for work.

"Okay, here's my card,just in case you want to hang out with someone or have fun,you can call me."

Alright, I tell her then I walk out.

    Am not even sure where the fuck I left my car but it's a relief that I have my keys with me.

I take a taxi on my way home. While passing at Taylor's place. I ask him to stop and wait for me.

Am not sure what am doing here but I want to see her.

While am still thinking. I notice she walks out of her house and gets into her car and drives off. Maybe I should follow her and see what she's up to.

I get back in the taxi and tell him to follow her car.

We end up at the cemetery.

I wonder what she's doing here until I notice her visit my Aunty's grave.

Am not sure why that is but as much as I  am curious to know what she's doing there or saying ,I can't cause she will probably see me.

My phone goes off,I just hope she didn't hear it ring.

I pick it up cause it's my uncle.

"Where the hell are you Harry, you were suppose to report for work at eight?"

I know uncle but am at the university.

"With which car?"

Mine of course. Am standing right next to it right now.

"Which only means,you're at the bar cause am told that your car has been at the bar since last night."

Oh fuck! So that's were I left my car.

" I can explain uncle but am not at the bar,am at the cemetery  am here to visit my aunty."

Stop lying Harry, I won't tolerate your bad behavior once again,he tells me then cuts the call.

I stand still I'm silence trying to think.

"Are you following me?"

Am not sure what to tell her but I get lost gazing in her blue eyes.

"Harry! Are you following me. Don't tell me your uncle asked you to follow me."

No am not following you. Am here to visit my aunt.

"Alright, am leaving," she tells me.

Taylor!

"What!" She responds looking irritated as fuck.

Why do you get irritated when you're around me?

"It's only because I can't stand you Harry and I hate you."

You can't stand and you hate me? wow! What a shocker.

"Why? Don't tell me it's cause of what you heard from my uncle or Selena?"

Your uncle? No,he only told me about a nephew that's out of state and never did I imagine it was you. If it's Selena? She always defended you.

"Then how did you conclude to not being able to stand me and hating me."

Cause you ruined mine and my family's life.

"I did?"I ask her looking confused. How?

Do you recall the day you came to the hospital when Selena overdosed and I stopped you from seeing her?

"I lost my father in a fire. It was all your fault. Had you not let my sister use drugs, my Dad would have been okay."

Are you being serious? I wasn't with her that day. Yes we were suppose to meet up but I couldn't cause my uncle had enough of my bad behaviour. After I left to see your sister at the hospital. He was fade up with me and decide to send me off to Miami. I swear I didn't know about your Dad's death.  Am sorry I mean it.

"No you're not sorry,am sure you're just making this up."

If you think am lying,go and ask your sister who she was with that day. You can also ask my uncle to show you my plane ticket. You don't know me Taylor, so I don't get why you should hate me.

"Why should you care if I hate you or not?"

Cause we are going to be living under the same roof. Look here,I know my uncle loves you so much. I don't care if you do too but honestly I thought your mother schemed this for you to marry my uncle cause you guys are going to be out on the streets anytime soon.

"What are you talking about?" She asks me looking confused.

Well I thought you knew that after your Mom sold your sister to Justin's father, she put the house in his name and now his kicked out Justin and Selena out,they're actually staying at my apartment. His Dad will be kicking you and your mother out soon.

"What the hell! I didn't know. I wasn't aware. No one told me at all. I have to go," she tells me.

Are you sure,you can drive in that state?

"I don't know but I have to go and ask my mom."

I don't know if your mom knows about being kicked out but Selena knows. She's at my apartment. I can drive you there if you don't mind.

She finally agrees after a long pause.
