[Hoping For Recovery]
Jimin
I couldn't focus. I felt like I couldn't breathe. Is this how Jungkook feels?
Sobs continued to wrack my body as paramedics worked on him.
Their yelling to each other was somehow louder than the screaming siren. I watched as they put a breathing mask around his face. I couldn't bear to look past his face, I couldn't look at his bloodied arms without vomiting.
A paramedic started to examine me, making sure I was okay. At least mentally and physically.
"We'll help your friend, okay? We think he can live," She whispered. I looked at her, tears falling down my cheeks.
"Think?" I whispered, my voice cracking.
"We can't make promises, but he's a tough one. He'll make it," She put an arm around me and I fell into her, sobbing. "Now let me look at that eye and lip."
I allowed her to treat me. If only to keep my mind off of Jungkook.
The ambulance came to a stop. The doors to the back opening. My head shot up and, I removed the paramedic's hands from my face. Too focused on Jungkook to care.
I hopped out and followed along with them.
Short legs don't fail me now! Keep up!
They led him down a hall as I followed. He was rushed into a room, but hospital workers stopped me from entering.
"I'm sorry sir, we can't allow anyone in," The nurse gave me a sympathetic look. "But judging from his chart, your boyfriend will most likely be accepting visitors within an hour or two. Feel welcome to wait."
I looked at her in shock as my face turned red, "Oh! Oh, no, we-we aren't dating."
"Oh, my apologies," She chuckled as she rubbed her head.
I looked down at my feet to hide my red face before continuing, "What else needs to be done?"
"The doctors are working on a blood transfusion since he lost so much blood. They have to finish stitching him up as well."
"Will- um. Will he be okay?" I muttered, wanting more confirmation than the paramedic had given me. I looked back up at her to see her look at a small paper she had in her hand.
"There-There's a high chance, yes, that he will be okay. It's just because of how much blood he lost..." She spoke looking at me with sad eyes.
I nodded, already exhausted from the sobbing and hyperventilating. Too exhausted to react. She led me to the waiting room and brought me a cup of water, telling me to stay strong for my boyfriend.
I didn't correct her this time.

"Jungkook is now accepting visitors, you can follow me," The nurse announced as I stood up from my chair and ran over to her.
"Is he okay? When can he be released? Why did it take so long? Is everything all right with him?" I rushed to say all the questions I had been thinking of. I wanted to get them all out.
"Jungkook is fine, he can be released within a few days, we needed to make sure his body accepted the blood, and everything is all right," She responded completely calmly as if this happens all the time.
She led me down a long white hall to a room with a large bed in the middle. I rushed over to Jungkook, only to see him fast asleep. I gasped, relieved to see him looking peaceful.
I pulled the chair closer to his bed and sat down beside him.
I watched his chest slowly going up and down. It helped. To know he was breathing. To know he survived.
His face was pale, and I looked at the rest of him. I frowned, still being able to see a small amount of blood on the bandages. I grabbed his hand and held it lightly.
He's here, Jimin. Calm down.
"You can stay as long as you want, there is a small bed under the window you can sleep on."
"Okay, thank you-" I was cut off when I saw Taehyung, Jin, Hoseok, Namjoon, and Yoongi all enter the room. I kept my hand on him, not letting my eyes leave his face.
"I'll leave you all to see him, however, please be quiet, he needs his rest."
Taehyung pulled up the other seat, taking his other hand. I looked up at him, but he didn't look back. I pretended to not see his puffy red eyes, clear signs of his breakdown.
"Hey, idiot... Wake up, okay?" Taehyung whispered, his voice trembling. He bit his lip, holding back tears. "I can't apologize if you don't-if you don't wake up quickly."
The boys were shocked by his change, but I just smiled at him.
"He'll be okay, he's just asleep. Taehyung, don't worry," I whisper to him. I let go of Jungkook's hand and gently grab Taehyung's.
"Jimin, can I- Can I talk to you outside?" He asks, eyes meeting mine frantically.
"We'll be back to answer your questions, I'm sure you have some," I tell the guys before we both leave.
I close the door and Taehyung wraps me in a hug.
"Jimin, I'm so sorry."
