Two Months Later

"I'm not ready," I whisper to Jimin. I feel sweaty and sticky, the hot room feeling tiny.

"None of us are, but he's coming up. So get ready to-"

"Hoseok Jung," His name was loud through the speakers. He quickly stood, walking up to get his diploma.

I glance back at Jimin and quickly copy him, standing to scream. Taehyung and Hana stand with us, Tae screaming loud enough for everyone.

Even though they specifically told us not to.

Hobi looked back at us, easily finding us in the stands. Although we could barely see his face, we could tell he was laughing. He walked across the stage eagerly; shaking every hand and quickly grabbing his diploma.

As the next name was called, we quickly went silent, politely clapping as we watch Hoseok sit.

It was a while until they called the multiple Kims at our school. Namjoon was third, dressed in all white to represent the valedictorian award he received.

"Namjoon Kim."

Once again we erupted in screams. This time, a few parents glared at us.

Then, Seokjin was standing.

"Seokjin Kim."

This time when we screamed, we got shushed just a little. We had to hold Hana back from hitting an old woman.

"Oh shut up, Karen," She mocked. We laughed at her as the woman looked stunned.

"My names not Karen."

"Sorry, it's the haircut," She shrugs, taking a seat again next to us. We hold our laughter in at the reference and clap politely.

It takes quite some time until Yoongi is called.

"Yoongi Min."

We all stand, screaming and clapping as loud as we can. All the while, Hana glared at the woman. She can hold a grudge, that's for sure.

Yoongi also looked back at us, chuckling as he held up a middle finger toward us. We stopped screaming to laugh, sitting down to wait for the end.

It took quite a while longer, many students filling the stadium.

Once it ended, we all stood, clapping and hollering. Soon enough, the crowd of students was gone and with it, the thousands of attendees tried to file out.

We watched from afar as they talked with family and classmates. Waiting patiently for our turn to say goodbye and congratulations.

Of course, this wasn't goodbye for us. We would see them all summer.

So when they did come around, wide smiles adorned our faces. We laughed and joked, and it felt like nothing had changed.

But summer passes quickly. It wasn't long until it was late June and we were having our final party before Namjoon had to leave for Princeton.
