[A Casual Monday]
Jungkook
I felt my eyes peel apart, exhaustion still hitting me after a dreamless night.
It's better than nightmares.
I groan and sit up, my head feeling heavy and weight over my waist. I look over, seeing Jimin holding on to me. I blush, gently peeling him away as I remember the arrangements made yesterday.
Since we had this Monday off, Jimin's friends stayed over. Of course, we only have two beds so some people had to share and others slept on the couch.
Jimin and I shared, his idea since both of us were exhausted and needed to rest well. Namjoon and Jin took the other bed, they were a couple so most people just didn't want to sleep with them in the same room. Claiming they were too loud.
I swing my feet over the bed, clambering out of the room to start breakfast for everyone. I started to make a rather traditional breakfast, it was the only thing I really knew how to make. I know Jin will appreciate it, I found out the other day that he was actually raised in Korea so that's why he likes to speak it so often around them.
I got a little closer to everyone, we spent the rest of the day watching TV and playing card games. I mainly spent my time trying to hide away, finding excuses so I wouldn't intrude on them. But they insisted.
It felt odd being around Taehyung. He smiled at me a lot, but we didn't talk. It was too much, too fast.
I slap my cheeks, trying to focus on the dishes in front of me. I stay as quiet as I can, humming softly so I don't wake the boys in the living room. Hoseok seems to be up already, sitting and scrolling through his phone. But both Yoongi and Taehyung are knocked out cold.
I notice Jin and Namjoon filing out of the room as the food is finishing.
"Wow, I knew I smelt food," Jin says, his loud voice surely waking up Taehyung and Yoongi. I hear both of them groan, knowing that my suspicion was correct. He joins me in the kitchen, quickly helping cook the rest.
I hear the door open and I look over to see Jimin stumble out of the room.
He ruffles his hair, smiling at me once he sees me. My face reddens at his bed head.
How does someone look so attractive after just waking up?
I smile at him and turn back to the food.
It's good that his black eye is almost gone. He heals pretty quickly.
"Jungkook ah, don't let those burn!" Jin scolds. I lightly bow my head chuckling at him and quickly turn the heat off.
Once everything finishes, we set the dishes out on the table. The table is small so only four people can sit. Others scatter around, standing and eating or sitting nearby on the floor.
"You know what I realized?" Namjoon says, the only noise besides all the chewing.
"What?" Yoongi says, exhaustion clear in his voice as he reaches to grab some pork.
"The school must have a shit ton of money," He says, making the group pause for a moment. Everything continues shortly after, no more speaking as no one really cares to respond to his random thought.
We all help clean up, me and Jimin left to clean the dishes after a few rounds of rock, paper, scissors.
"So, you ever gonna tell me about that dream?" Jimin says. Not turning to face me as I hand him a plate to dry. "I figured I was in it. Since yesterday you seemed so standoffish around me."
"Yeah, maybe one day I will," I chuckle, already having forgotten about all the anxiety the dream brought me. I was always fine with them after the day had passed.
"What? Was it dirty?" He chuckles, wriggling his eyebrows at me.
I blush, deciding to tease him, too, "You wish."
I don't know why I'm so comfortable around him. I mean, he's seen me at my worst but I feel safe around him. He's my first real friend in years. I really am grateful for that. Even if it means ignoring my crush on him.
He hits me on the shoulder, both of us laughing quietly, "Hey! I'm not a pervert."
"Sure, whatever helps you sleep at night, hyung," I continue cleaning, ignoring his wide smile.
"The only thing that helps me sleep at night is you," He says to me, winking when I look up in shock. My face is red and I pass it off by rolling my eyes.
"I thought you said you weren't a pervert?" I tease him again. He laughs at me and I smile, looking back down at the dishes.
"Hey! When you guys are done flirting we're gonna plan what to do for the rest of the day," Yoongi mumbles, leaning again the counter as he looks at us. We laugh at him, our faces blushing red at the accusation.
"We'll be out in a minute," Jimin says, taking another dish from me to dry. I clean the rest, helping him dry as we rush to be with the others.
"Okay, now that they're finally here, we want to figure out what to do," Namjoon says as we enter the room.
"I have an idea," Jimin pipes up. I glance at him, his short figure beside me. "What if we go visit Jungkook's parents?"
