[Loving]
Jungkook
The weekend passed easily, and as promised, by Monday night I was checked out. After, everyone had gathered in my house to help me pack. It hadn't taken long as I decided to only take my clothes and my laptop. Of course, I ended up shoving all my books into a few boxes to take later when I find an apartment.
"Are you sure you can buy all new furniture?" Jimin asks as he carries a box beside me. We head to the moving van and I simply nod my head.
"I have a lot saved. But it's not gonna be brand new, Goodwill and EBay will be my saviors," I chuckle. He laughs along with me, placing his box beside mine before we head back in.
I always knew I'd leave this house behind. But it's weird that it's not for college.
I'm ecstatic to leave. Yet, I can't help but feel like I've lost my childhood. This is the house where I grew up, way back when my parents used to treat me like I was god himself. It was also the house where they slowly gave up on me, seeing that I wasn't everything they thought I would be.
So I should be happy. I should be.
So why do I feel sad?
I'm abandoning the place I grew up. The one place I can remember my parents being vaguely nice to me. The place I wrote my first book. Where I got my first check. My first friend.
I'm saying goodbye to my childhood. From now on I do even more by myself.
"Jungkook?" I snap out of my thoughts as Yoongi calls me toward him. I head over and grab another box from him. "It's the last one. You ready?"
"As I'll ever be," I smile softly at him. He places a comforting hand on my shoulder, understanding.
"We're here for you, Jin said he'll help you find a place since his dad is in real estate," Namjoon piped up from behind me.
Maybe I won't have to do everything alone.
----
"Oh thank god," Jimin sighs, flopping onto his bed.
"What?" I chuckle, sitting next to him. He pulls me down and he snuggles into my shoulder.
"Finally some alone time," He sighs contently, moving a leg between mine. I laugh at him, pulling him closer nonetheless.
"We still have to unpack my boxes," I whisper to him, my eyes on his ceiling.
"We can do that later," He groans. I laugh at him again, placing a chaste kiss on his forehead.
We revel in the silence. His siblings and parents had gone out to go shopping so I could settle in better.
"You know..." I trail off, my cheeks red at what I'm about to say. "We are alone."
Jimin sits up, laughing as he looks at me, "Pervert!" He gently shoves my shoulder and my face heats up more. I shove him back.
