Hey my lovely mermaid fans! I'm so happy to have all of you enjoying my book so far! I know I take long breaks before posting another chapter but I'm a pretty busy person😲 I'll try and update more for you guys. Thanks for following me on this book journey😀

It was the crack of dawn and I realized I had overslept my alarm clock. I was supposed to catch the early bus this morning, but despite how early it was already it didn't matter. I decide to get up anyway and head over to bathroom. I brush my teeth and brush my curly red hair that sprung in sprouts down my back. I wash my face and put on some makeup. Today felt like it was going to be tiring and overwhelming. I didn't feel like going to school. I had missed the bus so I had to ride my bike which sucked.

"Ana! What the hell are you still doing here!?" Andrina yells opening my door up. Her yell makes me jump and I drop my tube of lipgloss on the bathroom floor.

"I overslept, sorry." I said shrugging my shoulders. I could care less.

"That's not good. You need to be up and ready. You can't keep riding that dusty bike to school."

"Andrina you're not my mother. You're beginning to act more like one everyday." She stays silent and rolls her eyes.

"Just make sure you get there and don't miss any classes." She closes the door. I groan as I put on my black converses. I pull a pink hoodie over my head and put on some gray sweatpants. I'll have to stay comfy today.

My legs pumped as they circulated up and down on the pedals of my bike. I was trying to rush as fast I could. First hour had just ended and my heart beat nervously. If traffic hadn't been so bad I'd been there by now.
According, to my phone I was ten minutes away from the school. I still had ways before I got there.

"Ana!" I hear a familiar voice yell.

My bike twitches from the distraction and my bike flips over and I fall on my back and the bike flies up in the air landing right on my body. At first I don't feel anything, but I feel sharp pains up in my body and I feel tears warming up in my eyes.

"Oh my god, Are you alright!?" A woman screams as she jumps out her car.

I realize that I'm unable to move my arms and legs and I can't hear once happening around me. My vision is blurry but I can see shadow figures surrounding me.
What is happening to me?

The world was silent. I felt my eyes spring open but I didn't know where I was. I felt like I was inside a place with no air. I could breathe but it felt unreal. There was no sun and the space had no texture. As, I began to walk I felt as if I was floating.

"Ana." I hear a voice say off in nowhere. I look up and I see nothing. Where was I?

"Hello?" I asked gazing around the place.

"I'm here Ana."

The voice was so familiar but I wasn't sure what or where it was coming from.

"Who is there?"

"Ana I'm always here for you."

You? I analyzed the tone of the voice I heard. After about ten seconds I felt a sudden pain in my stomach. Mom. The voice was the sound of my mothers'. That was the voice I had yearned for everyday. Yes, I was a human but I still ached for my mother's arms. Of all people in the sea she was the most forgiving to me for my differences.

"Mom? I'm here mom."

"Ana." I hear her say again.
