"WooooooHooooo," screamed Red Hood. Him and Hood Jr. were patrolling and they were flipping off buildings.
"-Tt-, this is not supposed to be fun," replied Hood Jr.
"Come on, let's have some fun. I bet that you can't do this," said Jason, smugly. He then jumped off a roof,
flipped two times in the air, caught onto a balcony and gracefully propelled himself onto the next roof.
"-Tt."
Damian smirked and jumped off the roof, did four flips, and did the rest of the trick.
"Beat that, Red Hood," said Hood Jr., smiling.
"You got it."
They than kept jumping from roof to roof, trying to outdo each other.
Then they heard a woman shriek. They turned their heads and saw a man holding a woman's hip.
"Get off me you freak," said woman.
"Come on baby, don't act like that and this will be quick," replied the man. Both Red Hood and Hood Jr. jumped out and punched the man.
"People like you disgust me," spat Red Hood.
"You criminals shouldn't get any mercy," said Hood Jr., kicking him.
The man was on his feet while Red Hood pointed a gun at him.
"Please, no... Don't kill me," screamed the man.
"You deserve to die," said Red Hood, about to pull the trigger on his gun.
He then looked at Damian, and decided he wanted to set a good example
for his little brother. Red Hood shot at the man.
Gunshot
Damian closed his eyes and cringed. His dad had a no gun rule so he wasn't used to the noise it made. But when he opened his eyes, the man was still alive. "Oops, guess I missed," said Red Hood, casually. Red Hood then knocked the man out with the end of his gun.
The woman thanked them and they both swung and sat on the edge of a roof. They were staring at Gotham, admiring the bright lights and beauty of the city.
"Todd, you don't need to hold back because of me," said Damian, breaking the silence.
"It's alright, you shouldn't see things like that. I don't want you to become me. I don't want you to be a killer," replied Jason, sadly.
"You do realize that before I became Robin, I was an assassin," said Damian.
Jason snorted.
"What?," asked Damian.
"I can't really imagine you as a five year old assassin," said Jason.
"I was better than most of the other members when I was two," said Damian, proudly.
"Yeah right."
"I was."
"But still demon spawn, promise me you won't end up like me," said Jason.
"What's wrong with being like you?"
"Promise me you won't end up broken. Don't become bent on revenge, don't go down that path," said Jason.
"-Tt-, you sound exactly like father," said Damian.
"Bruce is a smart guy."
"Smart, but rather annoying. All I hear from him is 'justice, not vengeance'," said Damian, making his voice super deep as he mocked Batman. Jason laughed at Damian while Damian smiled.
"It's so boring tonight, there hasn't been anything interesting," said Damian. Jason suddenly thought of something and smirked.
"I don't like that look Todd..."
"How about we have a tickling contest and whoever can last the longest wins?"
"-Tt-, that is an absolute waste of time."
"Oooooo, is the world's greatest assassin scared of losing to Red Hood," said Jason.
"No, that is just a complete waste of time."
"Ooooooooo, I think he is scared of losing."
"Fine, I will participate in your competition."
Little did Damian know that Jason had been trained to take tickling in the All Caste. If Jason was ever tortured with a feather, he could last forever.
Damian tried to tickle Jason everywhere, but nothing worked.
He tried for five minutes with no results.
"Ok fine, I give up Todd. Now try me."
Jason then stared tickling Damian under his neck, but that didn't work. He tried at Damian's chest, and he could feel Damian trying to hold in his laughter. Jason smirked and continued.
"Hahahaahhahah-" Damian burst into laughter.
"Stoppp- Hahahahaha- Come on Red Hood," said Damian, laughing.
"Oh no, is the legendary assassin laughing. That's a first, I must be dreaming," said Jason, smirking. Jason hadn't stopped and was still tickling Damian.
"Get-off me-hahahah-fat-ass," said Damian. Jason started smiling and laughed with him. They were both laughing and enjoying the moment.
"Ahem-"
Both boys spun and saw Batman in front of them. They both immediately shot up.
"Batman?," questioned Jason. Jason assumed that Bruce was here for Damian. Instinctively, he put his arm in front of Hood Jr.
"Relax, I'm not here to take Hood Jr.," said Batman.
As soon as Bruce said that, Damian felt hurt. His own father didn't want him back.
"I came to ask you, why the hell do you have a sidekick?," asked Batman. Jason and Damian suddenly realized that Bruce didn't know that Damian was Hood Jr.
"Because I want to Batman, the job was getting lonely," said Red Hood, replying smugly.
"Do you even know his civilian identity?," asked Batman.
"Of course I do," said Red Hood.
"What are you thinking, dragging a kid into this?," asked Bruce.
"If I recall, you dragged in all the five Robins," said Jason.
"I gave you all a choice."
"No, Batman, there was never a choice. You know that. I still don't forgive you."
"I'm sorry, please Red Hood. Give me a a shot at forgiveness ."
"Forgiveness? You don't deserve my forgiveness Batman."
"Red Hood..."
"You let me die Batman," said Jason. He wanted to yell at Bruce, for not killing the man that had murdered and tortured innocents, the man that had crippled Barbra, the man that had killed Jason.
"Is there a reason you came here, besides to bash my new sidekick."
"Yes, Robin has been missing for over a week. I wanted to just see if you knew anything."
"Do I look like I care?" said Jason, he was trying his best to lie to the dark knight.
"I figured, just call me if you see anything," said Batman.
"Are we done here, Red Hood," said Hood Jr.
Batman looked at him shocked, he knew that voice, it sounded so familiar.
It was on the tip of his tongue.
It couldn't be Damian, could it?
He shook his head, Damian would have murdered Jason by now if they were with each other. Damian would have also never agreed to be Jason's sidekick.
He was about to leave, it pained him to see Jason and his sidekick together. When he came, he saw them tickling each other and laughing. Bruce could never make Jason laugh after he came back from the Pit. He envied the bond they had. He wished he could have the same bond with his son.
"Beloved, you are a fool," said Talia, walking on the roof with two assassins behind her.
"Talia, did you find Robin?," asked Batman.
"As I said, you are a fool sometimes beloved. Your son is right in front of you," said Talia.
Batman looked in front of him and saw Red Hood and Hood Jr. He walked up to Hood Jr. and whispered "Damian."
Jason raised his hand in front of Damian, protectively.
Talia walked up to them," Give me my son and this will be painless."
