I avoided Clint the whole morning. Whenever he walked into the same room that I was in, I was out of there in a second. I think it amused him because every time I did this he just laughed and shook his head. I didn't talk to William either. He was the one that dragged me to that game. I would've beat the crap out of him if I could but he could easily knock me out with one soft punch.
My friend, Jessie, was coming to pick me up for school. Ugh school. I hate school. The only thing I hate more than school though is Mondays so today was a rough day for me.
I heard a car horn and looked out my window to see Jessie. I ran out of my room and ran down the stairs. I stopped halfway when I saw Clint standing in the middle of the stairs, blocking my way out. I was tempted to run back up to my room and just go out through the window but I knew I was gonna have to face him sooner or later.
"Move Clint." I said flatly.
"Where are your manners Lexi?" Clint grinned.
I heard the blare of a car horn from outside. Jessie was very impatient.
"Come on! My ride is here! I have to go!" I whined, stomping my foot.
"Gonna have to get past me." Clint said.
I saw an opening between his legs and I practically dove underneath him. I slid down the stairs and landed flat on my butt. Clint chuckled.
"Nice."
"Go fuck yourself."
I ran outside before Clint could say anything else. I ran to Jessie's car and jumped inside.
"What took you so long?" Jessie asked.
"Clint." I replied.
"Bradshaw?" Jessie looked at me, puzzled
"Yes. He's a dick bag." I said.
"Yeah. I know. Didn't he drop out in his senior year?" Jessie asked.
I nodded. "Yeah."
"Well what is he doing at your house?" Jessie asked.
I remember what William told me. Don't tell anyone why Clint was staying with us in the first place. No matter how much I hated Clint right now, I couldn't bring myself to tell anyone that.
"He's just staying over for a couple of days. Him and William wanna hang out." I lied.
"Don't your parents hate him?" Jessie asked.
"They are out of town for several weeks." I rolled my eyes.
"Lucky you." Jessie teased.
We reached school and walked inside. My school had to be the worst smelling place on earth. It smells like shit, sweat, and puke mixed together. Well, what can you expect when you're surrounded by a bunch of disgusting teenage boys that rarely shower and forget to apply deodorant every morning.
Jessie walked to her locker and I pushed my way to mine. When I got there, I emptied out my bag and then re filled it with the books I needed for my first class. Science. The third thing I hate the most is Science. It is the worst subject ever. It's so boring! I'm pretty sure that our teacher is just a hobo off the streets that get high everyday before class because he never wears shoes to school and his eyes are always bloodshot. I call him Mr. Highbo.
I walked into class and sat down at the table meant for two people but nobody sat next to me. I was thankful since most of them smell like shit anyways.
"Alright class," Mr. Highbo practically yelled, "the principal would like to introduce a new student, Mike Hank."
The principal and an attractive boy that only looked a year older than me walked inside. I automatically perked up when I saw him.
