I laid next to Mike in my underwear and bra. He had his arms tightly around me. He wore his jeans and nothing else. He had untied me. I could hear my heartbeat in my ears and I felt it pounding against my chest. I was afraid that at any moment it would pop out of my chest.

I took a deep breath and let it out slowly. I strained my ears and heard Mike start to snore softly in my ear. He was asleep. If I was quiet enough, maybe I could make it out without him waking up.

I felt the adrenaline pumping through my veins as I slowly started to slither out of his grip. I felt like a worm crawling away from a bird as I continued to slip farther out of his grip. I took a deep breath as I successfully made it out. I inched towards the cage door and eased it open. It creaked and I snapped my head back to see if he was waking up. He wasn't. I let out a relieved sigh as I squeezed through the small gap, not wanting to make it creak again. I slowly made my way to the door.

Suddenly, the sound of a gun cocking made me stop dead in my tracks. I slowly turned and saw Mike sitting straight up, aiming a gun at my head.

"What are you doing?" Mike asked in a rough voice.

I couldn't move. Nor could I speak. Mike slipped out of the bed and walked towards me. He grabbed rope off the dresser and tied my arms and legs behind me tightly. I struggled as he tied the rope around my torso. He picked me up, slung me over his shoulder, and walked out of the room. I groaned and thrashed around in his grip.

"Let me go!" I demanded.

Mike walked into another room and I saw an empty black body bag laying on the ground. He sat me in it and started zipping it up.

"NO!" I screamed. "NO! YOU CAN'T!"

He continued zipping up the bag. I screamed as he finally zipped it up all the way. It was nothing but darkness as he started dragging the body bag. I started crying as I heard him walk outside. He stopped pulling me and I heard him start digging. I struggled in the bag, imagining the worst.

He must've been digging for an hour and I felt like I was suffocating in the bag. Suddenly, Mike placed me in what felt like a hole. I screamed as I felt him toss dirt onto the bag.

He was burying me alive.

"NO!" I screamed. "LET ME OUT! PLEASE! LET ME OUT! I'LL BE GOOD! PLEASE! DON'T DO THIS TO ME! YOU CAN'T! PLEASE!"

The fear overwhelmed me and I fainted in the bag...

Clint reached the address and he saw he was at some sort of abandoned house. He stepped out of the car and heard grunting from the back. Clint cautiously walked to the back of the house and saw Mike. He was smoothing some dirt over a part of the ground. Clint picked up a nearby shovel and strained his ears as Mike said something.

"Sleep well, Lexi..." Mike said softly.

The reality hit Clint like a brick.

Lexi was under the ground.

Clint charged at Mike with his shovel in his hands. He lifted the shovel and struck Mike over the head. Mike collapsed and Cliff turned to the spot Mike was just smoothing down and frantically started digging as fast as he could.

"LEXI?!" Clint screamed. There was no answer.

Clint wasn't sure how long it took, but he finally hit something soft. He scooped the dirt out with his hands and discovered a black body bag. He lifted the bag out of the hole and unzipped the bag. Inside, he saw Lexi in her bra and underwear and tied up tightly. She was unconscious and pale.

"Lexi..." Clint pulled her into his arms and rested his hand on her neck. He waited. He found no pulse and tears filled his eyes. "No...no...Lexi...please...don't leave me..."

Clint untied Lexi and started doing CPR. He pressed down on her chest and did mouth to mouth over and over again.

"Come on. Come on stay with me, Lexi. Stay with me..." Clint said softly. "Shit! Open your eyes!"

Suddenly, Lexi started coughing and her eyes opened slowly. Clint let out a relieved sigh as Lexi looked up at him.

"C-Clint..." Lexi wheezed.

Clint set his hand on the side of her head and rubbed his thumb over the side of her head. "It's okay. You're safe now..."

Lexi smiled up at him weakly. "You came..."

"Of course...I couldn't live without you...I love you..." Clint said softly.

Lexi put her hand over his. "I love you too, Clint Bradshaw."

~~~~~
"LEXI!"
I turned as William pulled me into a tight hug. I started crying and hugged him back.
"Oh, Lexi. Lexi...you're okay..." William sobbed. "Don't you ever scare me like that again! I thought I lost you!"
I dug my face into his chest. "I'm so sorry...
"LEXI!"
I looked up as my parents hugged me tightly. I cried harder and hugged them.
"I'm so sorry! We never should've thrown either one of you out." Mom said softly.
"It's okay..." I smiled through the tears.
One of the police officers walked over with a blanket. "I thought you could use this..."
"Thank you." I wrapped the blanket around my bare body.
"Are you alright? Are you hurt?" Dad asked.
I shook my head. "I'm okay." I looked around. "Where's Clint?"
Suddenly, I heard yelling and turned. Clint was beating the shit out of Mike and cops were trying to pry Clint off Mike.
"Should we stop him?" I asked.
William shook his head. "Let him have his fun. Mike deserves everything that's coming to him."
Finally, the cops pried Clint away from Mike and led him over to us. Clint's fist was stained with blood, but he didn't seem to notice. Suddenly, Mom hugged Clint tightly and kissed his cheek, leaving a lipstick stain on his cheek.
"Thank you for saving my daughter." Mom said softly. "We owe you the world."
Clint looked at me. "Knowing she's alright is better than the world."
I smiled and he returned it. I walked over to him and we shared a passionate kiss. I closed my eyes and wrapped my arms around him. He pulled me closer to him and our bodies pressed against each other.
"Okay okay." William put a hand on Clint's shoulder and we pulled apart. "I don't need that image in my head," Clint smirked and so did William. "Let's go home."
