Stars surrounded him. Nothing but beautiful stars and planets.

Then in front of him, his beautiful girl.

He gasped her name and enveloped her in tight hugs, asking repeatedly if they hurt her.

"I'm fine Boots", she chuckled.

But there was a hint of sadness to her eyes.

Then Keith noticed that she was dissolving away into the night sky, like dandelion seeds in the wind.

"What's going on, Azalea?"

"I'm dying, Keith."

His heart dropped.

"N-no... You're kidding right? Please tell me you're kidding!"

He knew she wasn't lying when the tears streamed down her face.

He held her closer, burying his face in her shoulder.

"No! This is a dream! This has to be a dream!"

He looked her in the eyes and broke down into sobs.
"I can't lose you, Azalea! I won't!"

She started sobbing with him.
"I'm sorry-"

"No!", he cried, "Don't apologize! When I wake up, you're going to be there! You're going to be okay! I know you will!"

He clung onto her tightly, sobbing harder, "If I never let you go, you won't leave."

Azalea cried into his hair.
"I'm sorry Keith."

"Please", he sobbed, "Please stay forever!"

Azalea lifted his chin to look him in the eye.
"Nothing lasts forever..."

He kissed her passionately, holding onto her with a death grip.
"Then stay with me as long as you can-"

Azalea kissed him back.
"I promise."

And Keith still kissed her.

Still thinking that maybe-

If he just never let go-

She could stay.

But she started disappearing faster. Like flower petals blown away on a spring day.

"I love you", she whispered through her tears, "Tell Lancy to take care of her."

"P-please don't go"

She faded away from his arms, burning into the stars.
