Chapter 31
Greg's POV
It was our final night at camp before the Christmas holiday, and we were in the forestry once more. It was pitch dark outside, and we all had torches ready for our game of spotlight.
Spotlight, in case you don't know, is a game where everyone hides in the dark, while someone stands in a base type area. People have to try and sneak up on the guard in the base, without having the guard turn their spotlight on them. In some cases they'll have to grab an object from the base, and in our game, we had to grab a rugby ball. If you get caught, you're out,but if you don't, you win and you get to be the next guard.
A male teacher was guard first time around, and the other teachers joined in the game too, including Mycroft.
We all ran away, our torches lighting up the paths as we tried to find good hiding positions.
Everyone had split up, and I was on my own, unsure of where to hide.
"Greg," I heard Mycroft's voice whisper.
I spun around, unable to find him. A hand shot out and grabbed my hand, and I was soon pulled to someone's body. "Get down," Mycroft whispered seductively in my ear.
I crouched down with him, and found we were hiding behind a bush. "Has anyone tried to get the ball yet?" I asked him.
"Two people have. I estimate we have twenty minutes before someone gets it."
"Twenty minutes, huh?"
Mycroft nodded beside me.
I grinned and sat on the ground, turning off my torch. I pulled Mycroft onto me so he faced me, and I quietly pressed my lips against his.
After a second, he began to kiss me back, running his tongue along my bottom lip, asking for entrance, which I kindly provided him with.
Mycroft's tongue roamed my mouth, as much as his hands roamed my body. I grabbed his hair and pulled him in closer to me, knowing having his hair pulled turned him on.
Mycroft wrapped his legs around my waist, and as I began kissing his neck, he moved his head to the side, to give me a better area to work with.
I nipped and sucked on the area just above his collarbone, and I could tell he was biting his lip to stop himself from groaning.
A spotlight shone on us in the darkness, and Mycroft bolted off of me, trying to look casual.
We heard two people chuckling, and we immediately recognised it to be Sherlock and John.
"Move over," came Sherlock's demanding voice.
I sighed and moved over, as did Mycroft, as Sherlock and John crouched down beside us.
"Is that an open condom packet?" John asked slowly.
"What?! I exclaimed. "We weren't doing anything like that tha-"
"Lestrade," Sherlock interrupted me. "John was joking."
I sighed in relief and sat back, while Sherlock, John, and even Mycroft laughed.
"Has anyone else been caught?" Mycroft asked.
"Yeah, a few more. Shouldn't be too long now," John replied.
"Come on then," I said, standing up, "let's go win the game then shall we?"
Mycroft agreed and got up with me, but Sherlock and John stayed where they were.
Mycroft and I turned on our torches and ran through the forest area, until we came to the opening where the guard stood in the base with his torch shining bright. We turned ours off, and watched from behind a tree, as a girl snuck in to grab the ball, only to be caught.
Without a moments thought, I raced in as the torch shone on her, snuck up behind the guard and grabbed the ball, calling out 'spotlight!' as I held it over my head.
Slowly everyone came out of their hiding spots to begin the new game. I stood in the base as everyone else hid again, including Mycroft, who hadn't come up with me like I had expected him to.
I stood next to the ball, watching as everyones light when out. I turned mine off, and allowed my eyes to adjust to the darkness. It was an advantage to me, and a disadvantage to the others.
I listened to the birds sing their final songs, and the crickets chirped. I looked up at the clear night sky, looking at millions of stars sparkling in their glory.
I heard footsteps crunching behind me, and I turned my torch on, and shined it in the persons face, seeing it was a blonde girl. She sighed and sat off to the side. I chuckled quietly, thinking to myself that the game was child's play.
A few more people tried to get the ball, but failed, and I was beginning to get bored with the whole thing, wishing I could go hide with Mycroft.
About thirty minutes later -or so it seemed- I felt someone tap my shoulder. I jumped and turned around to see My standing behind me with the rugby ball in his hand. He leaned in close, making my breath go ragged at my heartbeat quicken. "Spotlight," he whispered, before stepping away and shouting it out triumphantly.
"I didn't even hear you," I told him.
"Of course not. I made sure to be extra quiet."
"Obviously," I rolled my eyes.
My chuckled and cheekily and subtly smacked my arse. "I'll get you back later for that," I murmured to him with a wink, before running off to hide with the others.
Sherlock ending up winning that round, and John of course won after him, and then someone else. At about midnight we retired to our rooms.
I was really going to miss this place.
