Chapter 34

Mycroft's POV

Greg and I lay in his bed, my arms around him as he snuggled into me. His back rested against my chest, and he hummed in contentment.

"Are you okay being here? Like honestly?" He asked me.

"Of course I am. Your parents are great, and they're very understanding."

"Mum thinks you're perfect."

"I know, I overheard you talking."

"You did? Why didn't you come in?"

"Because I knew you were having a good heart to heart with your mother, and honestly, I'm very glad I didn't interrupt."

"I suppose I am too. Are you going to go get your clothes tomorrow?"

"Yes, I think I'll go in the morning, and then be back around lunch time."

"Shall I come with you?"

"No, no. You stay here and spend some time with your family."

"Are you sure?"

"Mhm," I replied kissing Greg on the top of his head, before we both slowly fell asleep.

Greg's POV

I woke up in the morning, and found Mycroft wasn't there. A note was left on the pillow beside me.

'I've gone to pick up my clothes, I should be back by 12:30ish. I love you. -MH xxx '

I smiled at the note, and pressed my lips against it. Groaning, I got up out of bed, and went downstairs, where my parents sat at the table in the kitchen.

"Where's Mycroft?" Mum asked as I sat down beside her, pouring myself a glass of orange juice.

"He went to get his clothes. He said in his note he'd be back by about twelve thirty."

"He left a note, did he?" Mum asked, sending a hinting look at Dad. "I really like him."

"Yeah," I sighed, "Everyone does."

"Are you getting jealous Greg?"

"No," my laugh sounded too forced. "I just get annoyed when other people come onto my man and try get with him."

Mum snorted and Dad shook his head at me. "Darling," Mum said pityingly, "he's got you whipped."

I snorted. "He has not. I am still completely independent, thank you very much."

"Yeah right, son," Dad added, peering at me over his newspaper.

I chuckled. "Oh, by the way, Mycroft and I are going to his parents house for dinner on Christmas night."

"That's tomorrow," Mum reminded me.

"Oh, yeah, well, we're going to have dinner with Mycroft's family tomorrow. "

"You'll be meeting the Holmes, then?"

"Yep."

"Are they all like Mycroft, then? I mean, are they all so intelligent?"

"I don't know about his parents. His younger brother Sherlock is though," I laughed heartily. "Sherlock's a genius. So is Mycroft, but he's nowhere near as bad as Sherlock. Sherlock's a sociopatchic show off, but he's cool. He's dating my friend, actually. He'll be there tomorrow night too."

"All coming out of the closet at once?" Dad laughed.

"I don't know," I replied, the worried tone clear in my voice.
