"Alright sir, we've covered a lot of ground, I suggest we stop for a small water break to reassess our location" Austin suggested, breaking the silence. I snapped out of my daze and nodded. We stopped and sat down on a fallen log while Roy passed out a couple of water bottles for the small group to share. The only sounds that could be heard were the soft chirps of birds and the light pads of animal feet on the soft dirt.
"How much further until we reach the border?" I asked, I was beginning to get impatient. Austin looked at Jackson who made several intricate hand signs to his brother. After conversing with each other in their secrete language Austin turned to face me.
"We have another two days of traveling until we get to the border, after that we will just need to find a ship" Austin translated
"we won't need a ship" Roy interrupted. Austin and Jackson shared confused glances and looked back to us for an explanation.
"I have the mental ability to control the element water. I can create a boat out of ice and we'll be able to be pushed right in by the water. The only worry I have is the stealth. We won't want people to know about my water abilities so we'll have to travel underwater during the middle of the night in order to go unnoticed" Roy advised.
"And how do you plan to make us move that far underwater without breathing? We aren't fish" Austin asked sarcastically.
"I can create a bubble that goes around your head that holds oxygen." Roy said easily.
"Or I could just forget to put oxygen in your bubble" Roy said smugly. Austin glared while a smirk tugged the corner of his lips.
"Are we going to have any trouble, soldiers?" I asked Roy and Austin, I could see the tension between the two.
"No sir" they said in unison. I nodded and made eye contact with the two before sharing a glance with Jackson.
"I think we've taken a long enough rest, how about we continue moving?" I suggested with force. The three men nodded in agreement and we stood and continued weaving through the lush forest, sometimes having to use a blade to cut through the vines and branches that blocked our way.
"Sir, will you tell us a little more about whom we're going to England for? that person must be very important to you for such a king as yourself to travel all this way personally" Austin asked. Roy showed a small grin on his face and looked away as he knew Austin was asking about his older sister. I swallowed as I remembered my beautiful bride, Aceleve. It's been so long since the first day I introduced myself to her at the café.
"My queen is Aceleve Jewl Hart. And she is the most intelligent person you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. The last I saw her she had long, waist length brown hair with big beautiful brown eyes that you happen to see them in the sunlight they look brighter than gold. She was small but strong, if she were forced to square up with a giant the giant would have better luck of living if he turned and ran. She has mental abilities that are like the work of fiction, she can make herself fly, she can pick up anything with her mind without even needing to touch it, she can read minds, she can make memories disappear and replace them with new, happier memories. She is the light of my life, she has shown me love and has turned me into a person with a soul. The first day I met her was the day my life changed forever. Although she was kind to me, I was not so kind to her" I trailed off, my voice leaving me as I remembered the day I asked her to turn against her friends, when I trained her to be able to kill them without a moments hesitation.
"what do you mean, my king?" Austin asked.
"The original reason I introduced myself to her was that I was in need of her assistance, I needed her to work as a double-agent. She was to work for a agency called S.H.I.E.L.D and report to me all of their actions and intel that they have gathered on myself and my brother, Thor. At this agency she performed perfectly, she was highly respected and highly ranked, and she had even made friends and a potential relationship" I paused. When I saw the interaction between Clint Barton and Aceleve I could see the interest in both of their eyes, but at that point I was to far obsessed with Aceleve, and just the thought of her being with a mortal filled with me jealously.
"When I had gathered the information I needed from her I treated her poorly, like I would treat a very low servant. I called her a mutt and a half-breed, I asked her to quit the agency, cut off all ties she had with S.H.I.E.L.D and to break someone's heart. I trained her to be able to kill her comrades without a moments hesitation. I put her in danger-" I paused as I took a deep breath to prepare myself to say something out loud for the first time.
"And I controlled her. I put her under a mind illusion and made her perform my every command" I closed my eyes in shame as I saw the look of surprise and hatred on Roy's face.
"You what?" Roy breathed.
"I did it in the beginning because I needed her. Badly. I became obsessed with her, I got jealous when I saw her with anyone else, she was all I though about, every day, every night, every hour when I wasn't with her. I released her of my spell when she took Thor into S.H.I.EL.D custody in New Mexico and spied on Thor and my conversation. I was wrong to take her strong will from her, but I needed to know if she will be able to pull off my hard demands. Roy, I am so sorry" I said sincerely, looking into the young soldiers eyes.
"Don't apologize to me, apologize to my sister, when she finds out she'll be furious. And we both know how she gets when she's mad. And if she doesn't kill you then, I will." He threatened me with a glare. I swallowed and didn't say another word. The two brothers were also speechless as they both stared at me in surprise as we continued our walk.
"What makes her so special? My king. From the sounds of it, you could have had any mystical being you wanted." Austin asked.
"Her defiance, her wit, her stubbornness, everything that would make a normal man go crazy made me fall even more in love with her. As a king I've never been told no, or had my ass handed to me. But she did, and it was refreshing, and intriguing, and amusing. I loved that she didn't fear me, or anything or anyone. She's baring my child, and I hope that it will be exactly like her, and not like it's evil, horrible father" I said honestly with a small grin as I thought about the small half-breed growing in her belly. I stopped in my tracks as Roy stepped in front of me and shoved a finger in my face
"If you ever hurt my sister, or her child you will not live to see the next day" Roy threatened, again.
"Roy, you seem angry at me"I stated, already knowing fully well that he was very pissed at me.
"You have no idea" he said with a snarl. With that he stepped out of my way and we continued our walk. I sighed and readjusted the pack on my shoulders.
"Well my king, it seems as though you have your work cut out for you" Austin stated.
I chuckled "oh, I know".Hey readers!! How's my Loki sequel going? Good, I hope! Anyways, if you like Naruto, please go check out my new fan-fic "Atrayou and Loana"!
