Steve and I walked back into the headquarters and saw Danny, Chin, Kono, Lou and Jerry all over the table talking to someone on the TV screen in front of them. When I got closer, I saw a dark skinned, black curly hair women wearing a grey suit, Agent Judy Star.

"Bryce," Judy said, "Why am I not surprised that you and Nora went to Hawaii?"

"Come on Judy," I said, "We were together in the academy, you should know me better."

"Kessler is going to have your head when you come back here, " Judy said, "You know that right?"

"I am not worried," I said, "So, besides you lecturing me, I am assuming that you can tell us a little bit about Carlos's boss."

"I don't have much," Judy said, "I was explaining to your friends here, Carlos's boss covered his tracks very well. When we tracked him to Italy, he was very quick to disappear. And Most of his money transactions are done have been deleted. His boss must be one hell of a hacker."

"So there is no way that we can track this guy down," I asked.

"I am sorry, Bryce," Judy said, "If anything comes up on my end, I will contact you immediately."

"Thanks Judy," I said before she ended the live stream.

When Judy left, I place my hands on my face and let out a huge sigh, until my phone went off in my pocket. It was a restricted number. I looked over at Steve and Five-O who were busy at work, discussing the next plan of attack. I took another deep breath and answered the phone.

"Dent," I said.

"You are looking in the wrong direction," Carlos said, "Come on, I thought you were a detective."

I looked back at Five-O one more time and then walked out to the hallway.

"What do you mean I am looking in the wrong direction," I asked.

"My boss is too smart to leave a paper trail," Carlos said, "If you want to find him, you have to look at every angle of that crime scene."

"What the hell is that suppose to mean," I said.

Carlos let out a sigh and then said, "I guess I will just tell you since you clearly don't know how to look for all the clues, my aunt had a nanny cam planted in her room. She was convinced that the maid that she hired was stealing her food from the kitchen. You find that cam, then you have a lead."

"Why don't you find the cam," I asked looking at Steve who was looking right at me.

"Because it's not my job to catch the bad guys," Carlos said, "I just kill."

"Is that what you plan to do your boss as soon as I give him to you," I said.

"That is between me and me alone," Carlos said, "No need to worry about it."

Before I could get another word in, Carlos hung up.

I let out a sigh and then turned to see Steve standing there.

"Jesus," I said, "You scared me."

"Everything alright," he asked crossing his arms.

"Yeah," I said, "That was the hospital. I need to head back. Nora might wake up any moment."

"Well that's great," Steve said, "I will drive you."

"No," I said, "That's okay, I will take a cab. You should focus on finding Carlos's boss. I will be back in a few."
"Are you sure," Steve asked.

"Yeah," I said walking away toward the stairs, "I will call you if I need you."

I walked out of the HPD building and toward the street, I held my hand out to flag down a cab. When the white cab stopped in front of me, I opened the back door and hopped in.

"Where to," the cab driver said.

"345 O'Hana street," I said, "And make it quick."

"You got it, boss," the cab driver said speeding away from HPD.

----------------------------------------------------

When I got to Carlos's aunt place, I saw that the police tape was still up. I paid the driver and got out. Walking to the front door, I realized that it was lock. I ran toward the back of the house and saw that the kitchen window had been left open. Squeezing my way through, I fell to the kitchen floor with a thud. Getting up from the ground and dusting my self off, I looked in the small yellow kitchen.

"Nanny cam," I said looking up at a bookshelf that held several hundred cook books, "Best place to hide one, I guess."

I hopped onto a chair and got up near the book case, pushing several of the books aside, I realized that one of them was hallowed out and then I noticed a camera eye on the ridge of the book.

"Pray and hope this has something on it," I said hopping off the chair.

When I did, I heard the front door being unlocked. I jumped behind the near by the wall and grabbed what felt like a broom behind me, and getting ready for whatever came around the corner. I heard a floor board squeak, with full force I whipped the broom forward and then stopped mid way to see that it was Steve.

"Damnnit, Bryce," Steve said pocketing his gun, "What the hell are you doing here? I thought you went to the hospital to see Nora."

Danny came around the corner with Chin, Kono and Lou following him.

"I guess we found our intruder," Lou said.

"Intruder," I asked.

"Neighbors called in and said they say someone breaking into this house. We figured it might have been Carlos or maybe even Carlos's boss," Lou said, "So we jumped into our vehicles and drove over here."

"You still haven't answered my question Bryce," Steve said grasping his vest by the neck hole, "What are you doing here?"

"I figured I would go back over the scene," I said, "See if I could find us a lead."

"And how is Betty Crocker a lead," Danny said looking down at my hands.

"Nanny cam," I said holding it up.

Steve took the book from me and then said, "How hell did you know that this was here?"

"Call it a hunch," I said.

Steve handed the book over to Danny and then said, "Bryce, you know how you said that you were good at telling if someone was lying. Well guess what, so am I. From here on out you are going to tell us the truth. Why did you let Carlos go? And how did you know that nanny cam was there?"

"Steve," I said, "If I tell you everything, I could lose everything. My wife and my 2 week little girl named Nadia. Not only me but you guys as well."

"I didn't want to do this," Steve said taking out cuffs, "Danny?"

Danny let out a sigh and then walked behind me, "Sorry Bryce."

"What the hell are you doing," I said looking at Steve as Danny put on the handcuffs.

"Bryce Dent," Steve said, "You are under arrest for breaking and entering and aiding and abiding a fugitive. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have a right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you."

"This is ridiculous," I said as Danny lead me out, "I am protecting you."

I was lead out of the house and put into the back of a police squad car that was stationed outside. When I was placed in, I looked over at Steve who was giving me a look, I gave him one right back and then looked away.

What the hell am I going to do?
