The story starts out in a poem but the story itself is not a poem, just to let you know! :D and its not perfect either, but I was never that poetic so yeah...

In countless ages

In a timeless past

When mortals lived,

The Larune lived

In harmony

With the Saskune

As their guard

In countless ages

In a timeless past

A silent evil

An unspeakable doom

Passed their land

And no more were the Larune

Save the family of destiny

Who cursed the Saskune

To never come out of the shadows

Till they have saved a royal seed..

In countless ages

In a timeless past

A seed of the Larune

Yet breathed

Born was she, fairer than most

With her souls leave by her side

Destined to lead her people

Destined to restore her people and kingdom

With her true love at her side,

Ready to break all separations

And be one

Before its too late...

Dear Diary,

Yet another awkward day at school. Another day when the kids just stare at you, like they are waiting for you to do something. Layla never helps. She is always too rough. But, I must not say things like that about her. She is who she is after all. Oh, and I have broken my record of going on for 26 days without sleeping. The days keep getting extended as I grow. And, I'm also starting to eat less. I don't know why. I am perfectly healthy too. Too healthy, I believe. My parents don't mind though. They are understanding. Well, I have to go now. After so many days, I think I will only sleep for once.

 -Kayla

Kayla stifled a yawn as she closed her red velvet diary book. She couldn't surpress her urge to go to sleep any longer. She looked over to where her sister, her twin sister, she thought, was also putting away her diary. Hers was black.

"Layla, are you tired?" Kayla asked.

"Yeah."

"I'm not surprised. We are always thinking the same thing. Well, almost. You have strange thoughts." Kayla responded.

"I guess. You always have good thoughts."

Yet they both knew that they sensed those different parts nonetheless. Layla turned around and went back to bed. She was asleep in a matter of seconds.

Kayla felt like a part of her had gone to sleep too. Before she could faint, she struggled to put on her pajamas. Kayla slowly climbed into bed, guessing what types of dreams she would have tonight.

"Layla, Layla wake up." Layla heard a gentle voice say as a steady hand shook her.

"Mum?" she responded.

"It's me hun." Her mother responded.

"How long have I been asleep?"

"Two days. Your sister is still asleep. Can you wake her up? I need to get breakfast ready. Remember you guys have school today."

"Ok, sure." Layla got groggily off the bed as she woke her sister up.

"Kayla. Kayla get up. We have school."

"How long have we been asleep this time?" asked a half-asleep Kayla.

"Two days. Now get up. Mom is making breakfast."

Huh, thought Kayla. I do feel hungry. "We haven't eaten in a while, I know." said Layla. While, of course, meaning months. Not entirely surprised that Layla knew what she was thinking, Kayla got up and got dressed.

Kayla, it seemed to Layla, always had it easy. She was the most beautiful girl in the school. No, scratch that, in the world. Her hair was completely blonde, with no hint of changing, and no black or brown streaks. It was the perfect length to her body. Her face was a carved-heart shape, that emphasized her emerald eyes. But, if you looked closely, it had speckles of white in it. Her body was also just the right shape, not too thin and no too thick.

Layla's was completely different. She too, was very beautiful, only second to her sister. Except she had black, raven-colored eyes. Her hair was an onyx black, and very beautiful. Like her sister, they had the same length hair and right body.

Despite their differences, Kayla and Layla resembled each other like mirrors, it was crazy. Not only that, they seemed to always be thinking the same thing and feel the same way. The girls told no one though.

Kayla had a positive attitude, but Layla normally looked at ways the negative side.

Scene: At School

In no surprise, Kayla and Layla had the same exact schedule. During first block (which was algebra) they sat in between whom the school thought, the cutest guys around.

"Hey Kayla," the boy that sat next to Kayla said as she took a seat. A little too warmly she thought.

"Hey Layla," This time it was Chris, the boy who sat next to Layla.

Both obviously had crushes on them.

But, Kayla and Layla had no feelings for them. In fact, they had no feelings for anyone in the school except respect.

And everyone else respected them too, and not much more.

Before they realized it, the bell rang for the next class.

School for them was easy. They knew everything taught the first time. All of their classes were in honors.

Scene: in school driveway, at the end of the school day

"Yo Layla." It was Chris.

Layla turned to look at him. She and Kayla were next to their car. A very humble car, but clean so it seemed brand new instead of 10 yrs old.

"Hi. What do you want?" Kayla groaned. She thought it was because of Layla that they were never able to start a conversation right. Chris didn't seem affected though. 'Why should he?' thought Layla.

"Um, I was wondering if I could treat you and your sister to some ice cream. The parlor down the street has everything half-price today."

"No thanks. We have homework to do." Said Layla before Kayla could cut in and say something.

Before Kayla came back to her senses, thought Layla, she pulled her into the car and drove off.

Then the pain started.
