Chapter FIVE

Ok everyone thank you for your patience! A lot of stuff has happened and I, well, wasn’t focusing on my stories. But, I hope that will change now. So please enjoy! :D

Kayla and I said goodbye as we got into the car. In a few minutes, we were at school. The wordsLandenburyHigh Schoolwere on a board in the front of a two story building.

“Hey Layla, look.” Kayla was pointing to a new, silver, BMW.

“Wow,” I said. “Someone just got rich or is new in town.”

As we walked in, I noticed there was a lot more chattering than usual. Our lockers were next to each other, in the end of the last hall to the right. But, we couldn’t get near.

“Hey, what’s with the crowd?”

“Don’t know…but we need to get to our lockers before we are latte for class,” Kayla said.

“Well, follow me and I will push through.”

“Umm, Layla.”

“Yes?”

“I think there is someone by your locker.”

“What?”

Then I, we, saw him clearly.

Words failed to describe him. He had dark hair on the upper part of his head, and white on the lower that combined into a shoulder-length pony tail. His face was serious, yet had a soft edge to it. He had a lean body, though clearly muscular. But, the eyes. Just like his hair, one was golden and the other black. He was beautiful. But something about him seemed oddly…familiar.

“Umm…”

“Let’s go to our lockers,” Kayla said firmly, though clearly she was as shocked as I was.

“…Yeah.”

“Excuse us, excuse us.” Going through crowd of teens (mostly girls) is hard,  especially when they don’t want to move.

Ignore him, I thought. Ignore him. Ignore him. 26, 12, 12, 34…*plop*

We got our stuff, but he was still there standing. Staring.

“Ok everyone, what is all the commotion about? Get going! The first bell has already rung!”

Our principal…a lifesaver for once.

“Oh, Ceduic. Are you asking these ladies for help?”

“I was about to, sir.”

Wow…even his voice was different.

The principal, smart as he was, ignored it and continued.

“Ladies, this is Ceduic Giles. He is a recent overseas transfer student. I trust you ladies can help him. After all, he has the exact same schedule as you guys. Well now, don’t stand there gawking your mouths. Take him to class. You still have time before the final bell.”

And with that, he left us with him in the hallway.
