Taylor's POV

A knock sounded at the door which me from a blissful sleep. I rolled over onto my stomach, stuffed my head under my pillow and tried desperately to drown out the obnoxious knocking at my bedroom door. The knocking came with a stern voice of my mother yelling to wake me up. I'm usually a morning person but christmas break was a bitch and was alway hard to recover from (besides summer break of course).

"This is the last time I'm telling you," she said. I could tell she was speaking through a clenched jaw. "Get up! She hissed.

By this time, my alarm had gone off for the third time, and despite the longing that I had to sleep throughout the rest of the day, I decided against it and got up. As I swung the door open, I shielded my eyes for the blinding light that cascaded off of the surface of the freshly fallen snow. I found my way to the bathroom where the bathroom, where the light had the same effect on me.

Since my bathroom was under renovation, the guest one had to make do.

I brushed my teeth and went back to my room where I got dressed. I picked out a pair of high waisted ripped jeans and matched it a short sleeve black and white striped crop top. I threw on some black and white roshes and threw a black bomber jacket over my top.

I picked up my phone and turned it on to reveal the time.

"Shit." I muttered to myself in a state of panic. There was no way that I would be able to make it to the bus on time.

I grabbed my bag and quickly raced down the stairs.

"Mom?" I called out. I walked into the kitchen to find he sipping on a well needed large cup of coffee. "I need a ride to school." I said hesitantly, before giving her a smile out of desperation.

"Go start up the car." she said annoyed.

As soon as I shut the door behind me, my phone began to ring. I shoved my hand into my back pocket and pulled out my phone. I answered the phone not stopping to see who it was from.

"Where are you?" Disappointment rang throughout Jade's voice as it hit me.

"Shoot Jade, I'm sorry." I said. I hadn't realized that I was suppose to finish the project which was doe first period with her.

"I was really counting on you to pull through." she said.

"I know I'll figure something out. I promise I won't let you down." I said. "Forgive me?" I continued as I put on my best puppy dog face, as if she was there to see it herself.

"All is forgiven, but please do me a favor and stop doing the puppy dog face. You look really stupid." She said simply before hanging up.

I laughed it off as I unlocked the dark gray 2013 Chevy Malibu my mom had just gotten. Why she needed two cars, I would never know.

I turned on the car after getting in, and got to typing. By the time my mother had gotten outside the house, I was nearly done with the project.

Jade: Thank god! Now I can finally breathe... ily♡

Me: I told you I'd figure something out!

Jade: I knew you would. Class is starting, gotta go.

Me: Okay, see you in a little.

The day seemed to move faster than I anticipated.

"Finally." Jade sighed as she followed me to the library. "Today lasted forever." she whined as she shuffled in behind me. "So where is this Cayden mboy that you're supposed to be tutoring?" she inquired.
