Taylor's POV
Stepping out the of the shower, I grabbed the towel, through a cloud of steam, and wrapped it around myself. Using my forearm to rid mirror of the fog, I cleared a spot big enough to see my face. I looked in the mirror at my 4a type curls, which rested a little below my chest due to the weight of the water. "What should we do today?" I asked under my breath. I sighed. With nothing to do and nowhere to go, I was stuck at home waiting and watching as the ball dropped to mark the beginning of a new year."A wash and go." I decided. I grabbed everything I needed. I left my bathroom with an arm full of products and began to style my hair as soon as I entered my room.
Just as I was about to dunk my hand in the tub of gel, the text tone to my phone went off. Now that we're talking again, I feel much better, but I was still slaty about the crap she gave me last Saturday. I picked up the phone expecting it to be her.
Cayden: Are you doing anything tonight?
Me: No, why?
Cayden: Great. So be ready at 9:00.
Me: What?
Cayden: Just dress casually.

I was pacing at the front door, occasionally stealing a glimpse of the road through the glass panes at the doorway. "If I dressed up all cute and shit just to be stood up at seven o'-fuckin'-clock, I'll kill him and make it look like an accident I swear." I sighed in frustration.
Just then the head lights of a car came pouring into the windows. I peeked outside. Cayden's car I thought.Making sure I had my house key, I closed the door behind me. I approached the car. The window rolled down.
"Hi." She was absolutely stunning. Her whiter than white teeth were straighter than a motherfucker. Talk about model type. Something about those sparkly blue eyes were all too familiar to me. "Get in." She said unlocking the front passenger door.
I pulled the handle and sat down, closing the door after myself. She pulled out of my driveway and zoomed down the road.
"I'm Charity, Cayden's older sister."
"Taylor." I greeted her.
"Cayden left out the fact that you're gorgeous. I'm not surprised thought. Gorgeous his type."
"Oh no, we're not-"
"You don't have to hide. It's pretty I obvious on his end." Charity turned her head and scrunched up her nose in the cutest way. Damn, is there anything this girl does that isn't beautiful? "The way Cayden spoke about you was a dead giveaway."
Damn it. Here we go again. The sound of his name alone made me throb and break out into a sweat. "I- " I stuttered and cut myself off before I had the chance to say something stupid. Charity's teasing caused me to shift in my seat.
"Relax, Taylor, I was only kidding... partially. I don't mean to make our lives sound like a pity party because believe me when I say that it's the last thing anyone wants, we've already had to deal with a lot." Her sympathetic smile faded. "Right now, you're good for him. Even to talk to friendship wise, you're good for him."
The car came to a stop after we tuned into their driveway. "Wow. Cayden wasn't lying when he said you had a mouth on you." I joked. We laughed.
"I like you already." Charity turned off the car and locked it after we stepped out. We quickly shuffled to the door to shelter ourselves from the cold.
"I'm just gonna go up to my room, but I'll be back shortly." She smiled and walked towards the stairs and slowly jogged up, disappearing from my view. I took a seat at the table we used routinely for homework. Half expecting it to be Charity, the footsteps I heard turned out to belong to Cayden.
