Taylor's POV
Me: I don't think that I've ever felt something for some one like that in my entire existence here on earth; but the funny thing is, I think he might have felt it too. Am I crazy to think that he might have the same feelings I'm experiencing? Yeah, I admit I might be but, can you blame a girl? That whole fight we had yesterday, it was stupid Jade. I'm sorry. Please talk to me.
"Should I send it?" I said to myself as my thumb hovered over the white arrow encased in a blue circle. I stood there in contemplation as I peered down at the text I was debating on sending to a Jade I was still very pissed at (and I know the feeling remained mutual).
The noisy background of the arcade made it hard to hear Cayden walk up behind me and tap me on the shoulder.
I let out a soft gasp and swung around to find him looking down at me.
"Hey, I didn't mean to scare you, but is everything okay?" His obnoxiously perfect eyebrows creased and left a concerned expression on his, once again obnoxiously perfect face.
I looked down at my phone one last time and turned it off. "Why wouldn't it be?" I stammered as the bright light of my phone faded out to a pitch black screen.
What an exciting way to kick off April break. An everlasting fight with your best friend who doesn't approve of the guy I've grown to like in such a short time.
The frown I wasn't aware of, had formed on my face and grabbed his attention. This time Cayden reached for my forearm and slid his hand down to mine and grabbed it. His sweet gesture made me feel like I'd just ran a mile. Suddenly, in that moment, my breathing became heavier, and my heart felt as thought it was coming up my throat.
He bent down and put his mouth to my ear,"Let's get out of here."
Cayden's warm breath tickled my ear and neck as he suggested we leave.
I shook my head because I didn't know what else to do. I couldn't speak. Having him come that close to me made it feel like my stomach was doing flips and fire works were going off in my heart.
He tugged at my hand, but I felt like my feet were glued, no, bolted to the floor.
"C'mon." Cayden tugged on my arm once more and I went willingly.
Through the busy crowd of clumsy children and touchy teens, we were able to navigate our way out of the large, loud and dimly lit arcade.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked giggling like a fool. My hand was still attached to his and he was pulling me to his car.
"Anywhere but here." He looked back at me with those dark blue eyes of his and a smile stretched across his plump pink pillowy lips.
Walking me to his car, he opened my door and closed it after I had climbed in. A short moment later he climbed into the drivers seat and started the car.
With the both of us buckled, he pulled out into the road.
My teeth must have been chattering or something of that nature, because he looked over at me just for a few seconds before returning his attention back into the road.
"Are you cold?" He asked, as he stole another glance.
"Just a little chilly is all." I said. I watched as he freed the hand closest to the controls of the car from the wheel. He fumbled with the controls until warm air seeped out of the vents within the car, instantly bringing a halt to the chills I felt dancing up my spine.
