Alex stood in front of Ellie, she was a perfect image of him, but in girl form. "I don't remember having a sister", Alex said. "Look Alex". Ellie pointed. "We have matching birthmarks". Alex looked down at his hand and Ellie had her birthmark in the same spot. Light examined Ellie and compared her similarities to Alex. "How come the new kids who come through are remembering more stuff each time", Light asked. Alex shrugged. The three stood in silence for a while, till Ellie spotted Thirteen. "Hey, what's wrong with that guy?", Ellie asked. "We aren't allowed to go near him for some reason", Light said. As Alex was about to say something, a buzzer sounded and all the kids started to walk towards the cabin. "We gotta go to sleep now", Alex explained. Ellie, Alex and Light made their way to their bunks, Light was sleeping on the top bunk, Ellie on the bottom. "I'll show you the ropes tomorrow", Alex promised. Ellie nodded, she smiled and turned over. Alex rolled on is back and looked up at the upper bunk mattress, he was scared. Scared of what the arena held for him. What he did know what, he wasn't a fortune teller and didn't know his future.
The next morning, Alex woke up to a buzzer, again. It dragged Alex out of his deep slumber. Alex woke a still sleeping Ellie. "Wake up", Alex said. "We have to get breakfast". Ellie groaned and hauled herself out of bed and into the sandy ground of the arena. Ellie followed Alex to Light, Eleven and Twelve at the food line. "How's the new kid settling down?", Eleven asked. "Good, she's getting on good", Alex said. Twelve and Light nodded. "Did you hear?", Light asked. "Hear what?", Twelve, Eleven and Alex asked at the same time. "One of the guards is being executed, because he was found guilty of giving some extra food to kids down in the dungeons", Light explained. "These people really want us to die from insanity", Twelve said. Ellie came out behind Alex's back and waved a hi. "Hey", Twelve said. "How are you?". "I'm good, this place is weird", Ellie said. Eleven and Light nodded. "What's your name?", Light asked. "My name is Ellie and I'm Alex's sister", she said proudly. Alex smiled at this, "I didn't even know I had a sister", Alex admitted. "What happened to the kids down at the dungeon?", Ellie asked. "Hanged", Light said grimly. As Eleven, Twelve, Light, Ellie and Alex got their Glop, they herd a buzzer and everyone started heading to the field. "Whats the field?", Ellie asked. "You'll see", Alex said.
Ellie was disgusted when she hauled her first body in the shallow grave. "This is what you do all day, for six hours?", Ellie asked. Alex nodded, as he kept digging his grave. Each grave was only four foot deep, barely covering the body. "This is disgusting", Ellie finally said. "It's life", Alex replied. After two hours of silence, three kids dying of Arena disease and being hauled, Ellie threw in the towel. Alex went after her, but stopped when she was talking to Thirteen, he gave a evil smile. Alex thought he whispered,"You had a chance".
