16.Sixteen

Thirteens eyes glazed over when he remembered where he was; This was the first place he was brought when he first woke up. "Are you okay?", Alex asked, putting a concerned hand on Thirteens shoulder. Thirteen shrugged the hand off his shoulder. Eleven pulled Alex back to where he was and whispered, "I think this place has triggered something". Alex nodded his head in agreement and they both let Thirteen have his moment.

After ten minutes, Thirteen was able to move his mind past the shed where he was brought when he woke up. "This was the first Arena", Thirteen mumbled, as he approached the old door of the shed. "If Maximus is anywhere, he's gonna be here". As Thirteen turned the old doorknob, a murder of crows flew out from the trees. "That has to be the most cliched thing in a horror movie", Eleven said, he instantly got a disapproving look from Thirteen. "You have to be careful, Maximus can shapeshift, so he can turn into your worst nightmare, a person who was never in your life or someone you miss, so be careful", Thirteen warned. Alex and Eleven both accepted the risk and entered the shed after Thirteen. The shed was dark, musty and smelled old. Thirteen lit up a little flame from his index finger to light the way. "Yo!", Alex whispered, "How can you do that?". Thirteen smiled a weak smile and said, "I woke up and I could do it". Alex knew the answer was vague but didn't push the question any further. "You remember that place called the abyss?", Thirteen asked. The two boys said yes at the same time. "Well, this is it", Thirteen said.

Twelve was hungry, cold and tired. She had learned Maximus's sick, twisted games. "I hope your not in too much pain", Maximus said, getting up on his hind legs, changing his paws into hands and grabbing a needle that was filled with an unknown liquid. "Try to loosen your muscles up, then it won't hurt as much", Maximus said as he injected the liquid into Twelves neck. "You're a disgusting thing", Twelve said. "What did you say, Victoria?", Maximus aid, smirking at her. "What did you call me?", Twelve said, obviously confused. "That's your real name, Twelve you name s Victoria". Twelve then remembered everything. "What I injected into was one of your original brain cells, your welcome".

Thirteens past {Mild trigger warning, you have been warned}

When my mom did finally come home from her date, she brought her date home. I knew this because I heard male and female voices. The guy's voice was deep and sounded safe. I heard a plate break and then I heard a scream. I decided to break the rule my mom had set me and went downstairs to see what was going on. I saw the guy, doing horrible things to my mom. I guess I felt like the bridge of disturbs down with the sickness, I wanted to lash out. My mom seemed to enjoy some of it, but I couldn't tell the difference between her shrieks and her groans and moans. The guy spotted me and my mom took deep breaths, I ran away because I thought my mom saw me, and she would hit me if she saw me, so I retreated back to my room.

After the guy had left, my mom went to bed, I climbed out the window with a rucksack full of clothes, food and a map and that day was the last day I was home before I was brought to the Arena. All my life I had been abused, it continued until I could escape the Arena.
