"Alex, we should go on a date," I suggested as we were messing around at the studio one afternoon. The other guys had been here earlier, but they had left not too long ago.
It had been two days since I had bought the ring and as far as I knew, Isobel hadn't spilled anything to Alex yet, so that's good. I'd heard that most guys usually wait about a month or two after they buy the ring to ask, but I really don't want that. I'm really excited to-hopefully-call Alex my fiancé instead of my boyfriend. There was no doubt in my mind that this was what I wanted. So, why wait?
He raised an eyebrow at me before responding, "Where's this coming from? We haven't gone on a date for a while."
I shrugged; feigning innocents, "I don't know, I just think it has been too long. We're always so busy, and it's about to get worse. So why not indulge while we have the chance? Besides, I'm in the mood to spoil you."
He nodded slowly, "You've been really romantic lately," he stated, "Are you sure you haven't done anything wrong?"
I chuckled uncomfortably, "Yeah I'm sure. I just love you a lot and I feel like I haven't been showing it enough lately."
He smiled and walked over to wrap his arms around my waist. I immediately wrapped mine around his shoulders and kissed him gently.
"You don't have to prove how much you love me," he whisper, nudging my cheek with his nose, "I can tell by the way you act. Like I'm the only one in the room when we're in public. And you've never been one for displaying affection around others before me. It's really cute."
I smiled, "I can't help it, I want everyone to know you're mine."
"You are so cheesy love," he shook his head, "But I'd happily go on a date with you tonight. Or any night for that matter."
"I'm glad," I said, kissing his cheek, "Shall we head home?"
"Do I get to know where we're going tonight?" he asked, unwrapping his arms from my waist in favor of holding my hand.
I shook my head, "Nope. It's a surprise. Wear something nice though; we're going all out."
"Should I be scared?" he asked jokingly.
"Absolutely terrified."

The time was 6:47 and we were about to leave as soon as Alex was finished getting ready. I could feel my nerves starting to get the best of me and we hadn't even left yet. At this point, I was likely to either say something stupid and mess up the whole evening or chicken out and not do it at all. Dammit nerves, I was perfectly fine until I retrieved the ring from my shoe-thank god the box didn't smell.
When Alex finally did come out, my heartbeat just intensified. He wore tight black pants, a dark tannish colored shirt with a black suit coat and matching bow tie. His hair was straightened and styled perfectly. So yeah, he took my advice on wearing something nice literally. I felt a bit under dressed in my black skinny jeans, red bottom up shirt and black leather jacket. Maybe I should grab a tie or something before we leave.
I stood up from where I had previously been sitting at the breakfast bar and walk over to him.
"You look nice," I said, reaching my hand up to play with bow tie, "It's cute that you wear bow ties because of Dr. Who."
He rolled his eyes, "It's a good show and you know it."
I laughed lightly and shrugged, "Well know matter what the reason, they look good on you."
He blushed lightly, "Are you ready to go?"
"One second," I responded, running towards the stairs. I went back into our room and towards the closet. I rummaged around a bit before finding a plain black tie. I put it around my neck and tied it loosely as I went back downstairs.
