You Are the Best Thing I Ever Had

"Aleeeeex," I whined, "Get off of meeee! We have a lot to do today!"

He grumbled something incoherent into my chest but didn't move. I sighed and ran my hand down his bare back.

"Babe please," I begged, "We have band practice this afternoon and we have to start moving stuff around for the home interview. You know, the one that may or may not deem us as suitable parents."

Last night while Alex was on the phone with his mother, I received a call from the social worker, Anne, that interviewed me earlier this month. Thankfully, I passed that step and we now have a scheduled home tour/couple interview in two weeks. And yeah, our house needs to be childproofed before then.

Alex lifted his head off of my chest to talk to me, "Call Matt and cancel band practice and we can work on the house tomorrow. Is it really too much to ask to spend the day in bed with my new fiancé?"

I had to take a moment to appreciate Alex's beauty before responding. He was staring at me with tired eyes that still somehow sparkled in the low light. His hair was sticking up in all directions from the various activities we partook in last night. He was smiling lazily at me; his teeth a natural shade of white but not overbearingly so like Rian's. So in short, he was the picture of perfection. And you know, my opinion's not biased or anything...

"It's not my fault you weren't satisfied with one orgasm," I joked, "Besides, we kind of have an album to write. I know you do the lyrics on your own, but it's nice to have something composed first..."

He sighed, "Stop it! It's too early for me to prove you wrong!"

I chuckled, "Then don't and actually listen to me."

He groaned, "But I'm tired and I just want to be with you!"

"Well technically, you're going to be with me all da no matter what..." I pointed out, brushing some hair out of his face.

"Damn you and your morning personness," he pouted before finally rolling off of me and sitting up.

"Thank you very much," I laughed while also sitting up.

I stretched out my arms over my head and yawned; watching Alex reluctantly get out of bed. I whistled as he turned his bare ass to me to walk towards the closet. He flipped me off before sticking his but out and wiggling it. I laughed before finally getting myself out of bed.

Whilst getting ready I didn't really focus too much on making myself look presentable. I mean-no offense to Zack or Rian-but the only truly important person I'm going to see today has seen me naked in the last 12 hours. So I'd say I'd be fine in sweats with flat hair and glasses. You know, have to show the world you care.

It seemed like Alex disagreed with me on that though; I could smell the burning of his hair through the door of the bathroom. I opened the door and leaned against the frame.

"For someone that didn't want to get up five minutes ago, you're sure putting in effort today," I said, twirling a piece of freshly straightened hair.

He rolled his eyes, "Not all of us are blessed with the ability to look adorable right out of bed."

"Are you sure?" I asked, running my fingers through my hair, "I'd say you look pretty hot right now."

He scoffed and rolled his eyes again, "Why don't you go make yourself useful and make breakfast?"

"Nah, I'd rather watch you," I shrugged, "Since when do you eat breakfast?"

He shrugged, "I don't know, I figured it would be a good time to start, considering we're becoming domesticated."
