Chapter 10

Hyejin POV.
Sungjin went for a little jog outside, so I decided to stay here, inside the house spending time with myself and think about a lot of stuff. Stuff that I really want to remember already.

The kids were on school once again. So I barely see them everyday. Well good thing that tomorrow is the first day of their weekend.

I sat on the living room couch, until suddenly Sungjin's phone made a noise from my left.

It was a random text from an unrenamed person.

Unknown: I found her. I got her here beside me.

Got who?
Is this some joke or something or am I overthinking?

"Hyejin?" someone called my name out.

I looked behind and there was Sungjin with his sweaty body.

"Ah yes. Someone--" I was about to complete my sentence but Sungjin immediately snatched his phone out of my hands really harshly that a small chunk of my finger skin ripped out.

"Why are you scrolling through my messages? You didn't want to me to scroll through yours before. We made a deal." Sungjin shrieked.

"Okay, I'm sorry. I can't remember okay? Please Sungjin." I said.

"Stay here, I'm going somewhere tonight. Look after the kids when they go home." Sungjin tried to say this with his low voice.

"Where are you, uhm, going?" I asked.

"I have a meeting. I'm coming home after the midnight. Sleep well." Sungjin said as he runs upstairs to change.

I sighed and looked at my injured finger. I walked to the kitchen and washed it with warm water. Then I finished it up with bandage.

"I'm sorry."

Sungjin was behind me, scratching his arms nervously.

"It's okay. I know you did it by accident." I replied.

"I have to go now. Alright?" Sungjin said.

I nodded and he went towards me to kiss me on the forehead. I smiled and he continued after the door.

3:30pm
Si Ah got home earlier than Minwon. It's because she told me that he had basketball practice today.

"Si Ah, what's your favorite sport?" I asked her while she eats her lunch.

"Hm, volleyball?" she shrugged. "I don't really know. But I often do piggy back rides on my boyfriend." she told.

Piggy back rides.

Another teasery-kind of memory comes in. My mind starts shuffling and digging through all the lost memories and I feel like it's trying to come in but it can't.

"Eomma, are you okay?" Si Ah's voice fades in.

"Yes, I'am fine. You have a boyfriend already?" I asked her.

She nodded and snapped her fingers before she threw herself onto the couch.
