Chapter 24

Kim Taehyung POV.
Here we are, Daegu.
Now we start finding my wife, Hyejin.

There will be one team for each district since we don't exactly know which warehouse the hostage was talking about.

"We'll find her soon, Mr. Kim. Don't worry, I know you know her as a strong and wise woman." Officer Dwi patted my shoulder hard and he went to the bus that leads to Namgu district.

I went to the bus that goes to the nearest district from Seoul. I know they haven't went that far. She's probably just a meter away from me right now.

Stay strong, jagiya. I'm coming.

Kim Taeguk POV.
That Jinwoo went out again. This is the time to continue what I'm doing.

I cut and cut until the rope was thin. But I had to stop because I was too tired. I looked at halmeoni and she was just sitting there, looking down at the opposite side of where I'am. "Halmeoni?"

She finally looked at me and smiled. "Yes?"

"Did something happen when you were abroad?" I asked her, worried. "Please tell me. I'm your granddaughter and you know you can trust me right?"

She looked at me deeply in the eyes and nodded. "Yes. I trust you. But nothing happened." she said. "Taeguk-ah, after you finish that rope, leave me here and don't waste your time trying to help me escape alright?"

I gave her a confusing look. "What? Why? I won't just waste my time like that. Of course it isn't a waste of time. You're my halmeoni and everything I'll do with you isn't a waste of time. Please let me help you. I know you're scared, it's okay because I'm right here." I said.

"No. You don't understand. . ." she said as her words faded away.

"What do you mean? I do understand and what I said was right." I fought back.

"Taeguk, just listen to me."

"Halmeoni, I spent years of finding you and this is what you're telling me?"

"Look. . . Taeguk,"

"No. I'm getting you out of here halmeoni."

"TAEGUK!" she shouted.

I stared at her and my eyes became shaky as I did. This is the first time she shouted at me since I remember. "Halmeoni. . ?"

She changed a lot. Even her face did. What did she do to herself when she was in abroad? I can't even remember how she looked like before she left anymore.

"Taeguk, your. . ."

I waited until she finally said what she wanted to say. "Your halmeoni loved you so much. I'm sorry to say that she has gone missing 2 years ago and we haven't find her till now." she said while a tear rolled down from her eyes.

"What?" I looked at her whole face and start identifying it more. "What do. . . what?"

"I'm her dongsaeng(younger sister) and I didn't expect you to recognize me as her. Everyone around us said we looked like twins." she laughed with her tears falling out. "I didn't want to tell you as soon as you expected me to be her because of that man. He'll probably kill one of us. I want to protect you because your halmeoni told me before I last saw her. She talked a lot about you because she said she loved you so much. She never saw your brother atleast once but she never forgot to say the word "I love you" to him and you."

As she told that, I started crying. I shook my head and responded, "Since your my halmeoni's sister, you're still my halmeoni and I will help you escape this place because I know my own halmeoni won't like it when I'll just leave you here. Please let me."

She looked at me again and nodded.

Kim Hyejin POV.
"Excuse me. . ." Seohyun spoke up.

I looked at her and waited for her to say what she wants to say.

"You probably won't know what I'm talking about but your son is very sweet. He's kind and just wanted you to know that he talks about you all the time." she smiled.

I blinked slowly and I didn't know what to say.

"Y-You know my son? I have a son?" I asked her, wanting to know more. "Who is he? Please tell me."

My brain suddenly started stinging and this ringing sounds started to sound inside my ears.

Everything is so blurry right now.

"Hyejin-ssi!" I heard.

All of a sudden, different voices that sounded familiar surrounded me.

"Hyejin-ah."
"Jagiya. . ."
"Eomma!"
"Saranghae. ."

After that I felt dizzy and everything is black.

Kim Taehyung POV.
"Hello, Mr. Kim." the man beside me inside the bus saluted like we were in an army. "Nice to meet you."

"Hello." I said.

"Call me anything you want. But my name is Jungsoo. I'm a fan of Bangtan and it's really excting to see you!!" he started jumping up and down like a mental person. Everyone stared at him. "Plus I love calling you V or Vante. Can I?"

I blinked fast and nodded at him awkwardly.

"Thank you! Thank you!" he bowed so many times I can't count.
