Chapter 22

Kim Taehyung POV.
I only slept for about 3 hours and now I have to go prepare.
Today is when I find Hyejin.

I stood up and stretched myself. I want to text Taeho but I don't have credits. I'll check on him later before I go to the police station.

I settled everything and after that, I took the bus to go to Taeho's hospital.

I went up to his room and there he was, still unconscious.

He moved.

I guess not.

"Taeho?" I called out. "Are you awake?"

He faced back and sat up. "Appa. I'm awake." he said. He looked at me with a smile and waited for me to sit down beside his bed.

"Appa, don't stress yourself too much. It's not that good for your health. Please?" he told, looking at me. "Where's Taeguk noona?"

I suddenly remembered, Taeguk.

Where is she?

"I'm not sure. She was just here in the hospital last night. Didn't you see her after you woke up?"

"No. No one was here when I woke up. I saw your letter but noona wasn't here at all."

I took my phone out of my beltbag and called Officer Dwi. "Officer, Taeguk's missing."

"What? Again?" Taeho said. I hanged up the phone and he continued speaking, "Today you'll find eomma and now Taeguk's missing? What is this? Appa, why are we seperating like this?"

"Don't worry. I'll find the both of them. You," I stood up. "You have to be safe and don't let anyone push you down. Okay?"

"Appa, I want to help you." he replied. "I can't just stay here doing nothing. Please!"

"Taeho, you're not well yet. I mean I could if you are already. But you're not well treated yet. Stay here please. Take care of yourself." I said to him, smiling as I go out of the door, not waiting for his answer.

I went to the police station and once I arrived, there were two groups of a few cops dressed in blue and red.

"Mr. Kim. The red cops will be looking for Taeguk while blue will go to Daegu and look for Mrs. Kim. You can choose whether you want to go find Mrs. Kim or Taeguk." Officer Dwi said, wearing his blue vest.

"I'll go alone. I'm going to try finding them both." I said, nodding at Officer Dwi. He nodded back and he gave me a different colored vest; yellow green.

He gave me one pistol and saluted at me. "Mr. Kim, once you find the criminal, try shooting them somewhere that they won't die. We will need them for investigation."

"But promise me that the criminal should be sentenced death row." I said. "I don't want him coming out of that prison cell again once he's there and ruin my family again."

"Yes. I marked my words." Officer Dwi saluted again before walking into his group.

This is like a military thing that I have never seen before when investigating a crime. I don't know why but I'm thankful to have Officer Dwi on my side.

Kim Taeguk POV.
He took me somewhere I don't recognize where. It took about 15 minutes to get there.

"We arrived. Are you excited to see your halmeoni?" the man said to me, smiling into the rear mirror.

"Yes. Please take me to her." I replied with a smile back.

He unlocked the doors and opened it for me. I went out and I followed him into some kind of garage. It was like a garage of some random building.

He took me inside and opened the lights. Once he did, there I saw her.

Halmeoni is here.

But she's sitting in a chair and a rope is tied around her.

"What?" I whispered, scared. "What did you do to her?" I looked at the man who was locking the garage door.

"Your halmeoni, wanted to go back here to Korea so hurrily that she almost got me into jail." he walked slowly towards me. "I shot her in the waist 2 times and after letting me heal her with a doctor friend of mines, she wanted to tell the police so I had no choice but to tie her up here. I mean, who would want to go to jail?"

"Who are you? Why did you shoot her? WHY?" I asked, clenching my fists.

"I'm Go Jinwoo." he said. "My father told me to do that. My father is an amazing worker. He can almost do anything."

"I don't know who in the world are you and your father and my halmeoni has nothing to do with this! LET. HER. GO!" I shouted as I tried pushing Jinwoo on his chest, but he was too strong and quickly pushed me back.

I fell into the floor and hit my head on to halmeoni's feet. She suddenly woke up and saw me. She shook hard while tied up on a chair and wanted to speak but I can't understand her because her mouth was with a duct tape on it.

Jinwoo went to halmeoni and harshly took the tape off. "5 minutes."

He suddenly left the garage by the door going inside the building.

"Oh my Taeguk!" halmeoni cried. "I missed you so much! I missed you that I couldn't wait to come here!"

"Halmeoni, who is Go Jinwoo? Why are you here? Why? Tell me please! We need to get out of here!" I said not waiting for her answer and suddenly went to the garage door on the way to the outside of this building. I tried shaking and budging the lock but it won't do anything.

"I don't know. I never seen him before." halmeoni replied with a low voice and a cough. "How's Taehyung my son? How is he? And, um, Hye-Hyejin?"

"Appa is fine. But, b-but eomma is . . . missing." I responded.

"What? Why?" halmeoni asked.

"Look, halmeoni, please! We need to get out of here before he comes back!" I shrieked.

The door from where Jinwoo came out opened and there he comes again.

"Exactly 5 minutes is over! Now how about Taeguk you come sit on this chair?" Jinwoo pointed at the chair beside halmeoni's. "If not, then I'll let you sit on that chair." he laughed.

I looked at halmeoni and she nodded.

I went to the chair and sat down slowly. Jinwoo took a rope and tied it around my body. I looked at halmeoni again.

"Just flow with it. I know we will survive. Someone will come soon." halmeoni whispered. "There's a reason of why we may live or die."
