RECAP
Sade fell to the ground, unable to express anything else. Ella then laid down in her bed still trembling. Her eyes slowly closed as she fell asleep once more.

"Good job Ellie, now you must rest. You will be meeting someone very important soon. Plus you still have my father to deal with" The girl stirred in her sleep as the voice rang in her head.

"You have such a difficult journey ahead of you, so sleep princess." The voice faded away leaving the faint scent of roses in its wake.

"Are you feeling better Gwenevere?" Gaius question her gently.

"So you're related to the Crown prince of Perselfia?" Merlin was still confused on that of all parts. Gwen's eyes darted from Gaius to Merlin to her cousin, who was blissfully eating grapes and cheese. She suddenly felt overwhelmed.

Gwen suddenly shot up from the bench in which she was seated. "I must get back to the Ball!" She said making her way to the service door only to stop when she remembered that she didn't know the way back. "Tina will scold me for leaving in the middle of the festivities." she stressed.

Gaius eyed the girl carefully, looking at her fidgeting form he knew there was something that she wasn't telling them. But he didn't push her, not wanting hr to break. "We must make haste then."

The four of them slipped through the service doors quietly and slinked into the servant halls. A few minutes later, they were blending in the crowd of party goers.

"I will see you later cousin." Madix murmured, eyeing group of giggling girls. One of them winked flirtatiously at him, making us both laugh and cringe at her brash attitude.

Gwen shuddered as an older lady looked at her cousin hungrily. "Be careful, the cougars are out and ready to pounce."

Madix snorted out a laugh, a servant boy came up to him and whispered something in his ear it must not had been a good thing because he frowned. "I have to meet with the king anyways." His playful expression hardening into one that Gwen had never seen on her ever jovial cousin.

"Whatever for?" Gwen squeaked out. His obvious mood swing had startled her. She looked into his now-not-so-friendly brown eyes and watched as some humor came back into them.

He gave his younger cousin a tight lipped smile, and realised how naive she was. "I want to find out, why in the world is the cousin of the King of Perselfia a servant girl? Why is she not living in luxury with her father? "

"No, Maddix you can't!" Gwen's eyes widened in shock and fear. "I will get in so much trouble, the king will have my head!"

Shaking his head, Maddix frowned, his resolve hardened and began walking toward the king of Camelot who had his eyes on Gwen severely. Uther who had seen Gwen turned abruptly on his heel and disappeared in the crowd.

Gwen wanted to say something but was cut off. "I'm not going to back down, Gwen"

"But it's Arthur's birthday celebration-" The sharp look he gave shut her up. In a flash, she was being dragged across the lavish room while a ticked off King was holding onto her arm in a vice like grip.

Eventually Uther was found. He didn't see it coming, the poor King was conversing with the Duke of Luthdorn when Maddix came storming towards him.

Even when storming, Gwen's cousin was pure elf... totally silent. "May I have a word, your Majesty?" The older king jumped.

"O-of course." The elves have always made Uther nervous. Though they were shorter than the average human, they were more dangerous. Maddix was abnormally tall for the usual 5'0 elf height standing at an impressive 6'5 he towered over Uther and most people in the ballroom.
