A Poem written for music Homework about the origination of the Blues (the style of Music) I hope you enjoy!

Through the mid-evening breeze and the wind in the trees,

the world of the Africa stood silent in a freeze

No-one was there, except the silent few who hid in their homes all alone and just stared at an empty country, left in despair,

People had come with weapons and guns and attacked the locals to treat them like scum,

Then took them away to a place where they'de stay and live which was a boat ride of torture which lasted for days.

Soon they arrived to the destination, having left their close family and freinds alone somwhere else with much hesitation,

Having nothing to loose, they were placed as slaves and beaton and bruised if they refused to do the work given, having no clues to where their family were.

To pass the hours of sour work from picking flowers in the fields under the people's ruling powers they brought into the air a tuneful tower of music

What was this music? A mix of native tunes and european moods placed together to create the blues:

A weary song that spoke of forced labour, the long days of despair that would continue to carry on until everyone was gone,

Then passed down to generations for celebrations and an elevation of the mood to the modern day because of a life in the past that people didn't choose that led to,

A mix of native tunes and european moods placed together to create the blues!
