(Midoriya's POV)
I knew he made it in. Now it was just finding out who he was and why. Why did he always hover around me? The teacher, who looked like an unqualified bum, started to talk in a monotone voice,
"Alright students. Today you be taking a series of test to see if you'll be good enough to be in this school."
Everyone yelled what, except him and a couple others. Although he did look startled, his eyes were full of fear I could tell.
"Shut up and change into your gym clothes. Then get onto the field."
The teacher then walked off out of the classroom. The girl came over to me,
"This sucks doesn't it."
"Yeah, we haven't even been here 30 minutes."
"Also, do you know that kid?"
She nodded to the silver haired boy, who was now getting up to get his gym uniform. He then looked around the room and quickly shoved himself in the bathroom. I'm guessing to change.
"Well not really, I've only talked to him once."
"Well it turns out he's had a really bad life, like he had no friends, his family disowned him for some reason, but he got a recommendation here."
So, it was him, he was one Bakugou was talking about. That's surprising, he took the test anyways.
"Huh..."
So, that's who he was. He then walked out of the bathroom. I kept watching as he walked out of the room, I'm guessing to go to the field.
"Um well, I gotta go get changed."
I snatched my gym outfit and ran after that boy. I spotted him walking down the hall reading a book.
"Hey! Wait up!"
I saw him turn around and then his eyes got bigger. He started to run off. I quickened my pace until I was closing the distance. To my surprise, he tripped and fell straight on the floor. He sat up as I finally caught up.
- Finally, -
I thought.
"Who are you!"
He avoided eye contact always,
"P-Please just leave me a-alone."
He was from what I could hear, crying. I sat down behind him. I remember that Ochako told me that this guy, had no friends. So, he probably doesn't know how to deal with this stuff.
"Um, what's your name."
He pulled his knees close to his chest and whispered,
"Why do you care, why does anyone care."
I felt pity for this guy. He didn't seem to see hope in anything
"I've seen you before," I fished around in my pocket for something "You gave me this right?"
I held out the rose. He turned around and wiped his eyes. When he saw it, he looked genuinely surprised?
"Yeah I did." Then his eyes started to tear again "You must think I'm a complete disgusting stalker and all I wanted to do was be close to you."
I was baffled by this. The words, he didn't have any friends echoed in my mind. He sat there beginning to cry. He reminded me of myself, always crying. I didn't know what to do, I was usually the one crying.
"I'm sorry." He started, he then looked at me with a painful smile. "I should've know you'd deny me also."
He stood up and started to walk to field.
"Wait!" I yelled
He turned around, with the saddest face I have ever seen. His eyes looked dead, like they had no purpose.
"I wouldn't mind being your friend. You seem nice."
I could see his eyes lights light up. I'll admit his eyes were beautiful in that moment, like the ocean. He then ran up to me and grabbed my hands. A dorky smile on his face,
"Really!"
I laughed and nodded my head yes.
"So, what's your name?"
I asked. He looked at me curiously and then chuckled,
"Oh, I'm Kanashi Chikara."
He shyly held out his hand. I smiled and shook it. Then I turned around still holding his hand and started pulling him to the field,
"Come on we gotta hurry."
I could tell he was blushing a bit, but I didn't take notice at the time. So, that was the beginning of me meeting the silver haired oddball, Kanashi Chikara.
