(Midoriya's POV)
It was the day after Kanashi and I had kissed. I was walking to school hoping to catch a glimpse of him to tell him it wasn't completely one sided.  I gripped the strap of my bag with one hand, the school growing closer in my vision. I did see him at all, not even a glimpse of his hair. I went to our home room class and sat down in the spot Kanashi and I usually sat down in. I looked longingly to the seat next to me and then pulled out one of my hero notebooks.  Titling it Kanashi Chikara.

~Time Skip~

All my classes had ended for the day and while I was walking out I spotted Iida and Ochako. I lightly jogged over to them where Ochako greeted me with a smile.

  "Hey Izuku."

"Hey. Have you guys seen Kanashi?"

They shook their heads and Ochako gave a frown.

"Yeah we haven't seen him. He wasn't in our English class either."

   "Or my history class."

Iida said him now frowning.

I nodded.

    "Okay thanks."

I started to walk off planning to go to his house to check.

"Hey Izuku! We were gonna get dinner at that new noodle place downtown. Wanna come?

I turned around and smiled a bit. I really did want to go. Then I realized something Kanashi's house was near there.

      "Sure."

I walked back over to them

"Can we stop by Kanashi's place to see if he's there. It's nearby."

Ochako smiled and nodded.

"Sure. We can invite him too if is his there."

I smiled and then we started making the trek to the downtown area. After about 10 minutes of walking we made it to Kanashi's apartment complex.

      "Wow...Kanashi lives here?"

Her reaction was valid. The building looked run down and almost desolate. We walked to the stairs and ascended up them. Once we had reached Kanashi's apartment I knocked quietly.

      "O-One sec."

Good he was home, but the stutter set me off. The door creaked open a bit and a sliver of Kanashi's face could be seen. Once he saw who it was knocking at the door he closed it quickly.

"Kanashi come on please open up. We are gonna go to the new noodle shop. Also I've got your homework."

The door once again slowly opened. Kanashi in the doorway. There were bags under his eyes. He had his hands shoved in the pocket of an too big hoodie.  His eyes were glossy like he had been crying.

"J-Just give me the homework. I d-don't wanna g-go out."

I reached into my bag and gave it to him. He grabbed it the sleeve of the hoodie covering his hand. The door was then shut again. I sigh in failure.

"I'm gonna try again you guys go on ahead. We'll catch up."

Ochako nodded and went on with Iida. I put my forehead on the door.

"Hey Kanashi. I know you can hear me. What happened yesterday, I don't judge you at all. You're still my friend." 'Maybe more'  "Come on please open the door."

The door knob slowly turned and opened. My eyes met his which were full of tears. He then threw himself on me and sobbed intensely. I wrapped my arms around him as he cried.

           "I'm S-sorry."

He sobbed out and then he backed up and pulled back his sleeve.  Which showed a fresh cut.

"I t-thought you would um h-hate me and..."

He couldn't finish the sentence because of his sobs. He stood there and cried. I hugged him once again.

"It's fine and I don't hate you. Alright let's get some food okay."

He nodded and then we started to walk down the stairs. I then could feel a hand reach over and hold my index finger. I looked over to Kanashi who was looking down at the ground and blushing. I chuckled a bit and then grabbed his hand our fingers intertwined. His hand was small and seemed fragile. We soon arrived at the restaurant and he let go of my hand. I kinda wish he didn't. We spotted Ochako and Iida sitting down with their drinks.

                 "Hey Kanashi!"

Ochako waves with a smile. He nervously smiled and rubbed his arm.

                 "H-Hello."

We sat down at the table and he fiddled with the silverware. We all ordered something and it arrived fairly soon.

                "So Kanashi."

Iida started.

"You're the son of the great duo The Mardel and The Scythe right?"

I looked over to him as he nodded. His fork playing around in the bowl of noodles.

"WHAT!? You never told me that!"

I took a big bite of noodles.

"I don't like to talk about them."

He nibbled on some of his food as I realized why. He was disowned, his parents didn't care about him. Well not enough to care if he was gay or not.

"Well it's pretty cool. They're the best superhero duo of the decade!"

The Mardel and The Scythe were my second favorite heroes behind All-Might. The Mardel with her blinding Diamond Cage and The Scythe with his Liquid Darkness. He shrugged still staring blankly into his food.

          "Sure."

I still felt sorry for him. He didn't have the luxuries most people had. A good home, the privilege of not having to work at an early age, and even a loving family. We had finished our food and Iida and Ochako left on their way to go home. I decided to walk with Kanashi home. The walk was silent until we got to his apartment.

            "Thanks for dinner."

I nodded.

"Anytime. It was really good fo-"

I was cut off by him kissing me. I was surprising at first, but then I kissed back. It was blissful. The kiss broke and we gasped for air. He was blushing.

              "S-Sorry I d-don't know w-"

I cut him off by kissing him back I held his head as we kissed and then we back away both of us blushing. He smiled a bit and then walking into his apartment as I made my trek home.
