‘Good morning Clay!’ I chanted to my boss as soon as I entered his voice.

‘Very good morning to you too Izzy.’

‘Don’t call me that.’ I said angrily while pointing an accusatory finger at him. He raised his hands in surrender and I left his office chuckling.

You know these days when you wake up with this huge smile on your face and you have this positive feeling that today is most definitely going to be a day worth remembering. Today was absolutely one of them.

I was wearing my favorite lilac dress together with my special Christian Loubs and Chanel bag. My hair was perfectly curled the previous day by the new salon that opened nearby and yes my hands might have been slightly trembling while applying my mascara but I choose to ignore that part. There was nothing that could ruin my good mood today.

‘Well, well, well, for someone who just got dumped yesterday, scratch that for any normal person on this planet, you look pretty damn hot girl.’ I found Adriana saying after whistling at me.

‘Oh thank you sweet Ade.’

‘New dress?’ She asked while grinning at me.

‘Nope, more of something hidden way back in the closet.’

‘This should definitely be illegal.’ She stated seriously.

I chuckled, ‘shouldn’t you be working or something?’ I asked her teasingly.

‘Aye Aye Captain! Just tell me a name and I’ll be out of your way.’ I found her saying.

I knew it. I knew she would relate this to a guy. I decided to play dumb though. ‘Name?’

‘Oh look at you all innocent. We will find out though, soon.’ She gave me an “I’m watching you” look and quietly left my office.

This isn’t about guys no, this is about me, newly single, finally free from that idiot of a boy friend I had. I wondered what kept me with him for so long. Because day one of being alone wasn’t half bad after all.

Sigh, my over thinking and I.

‘Knock, knock!’

I looked up and I’m pretty sure I gasped. I mean, this is a sight that I most definitely am not used to. I am so not used to newly shaved Nathan Scott with a grin so wide, it could kill, and eyes so bright they looked like they could see right through your soul and it certainly felt like it. And hey, we sort of match!

‘Diamond, we match!’ He told me as soon as he entered the office. Seriously, does he have the ability to read my mind? I am certain he does.

I grinned back and said, quite shocked, ‘we do, and you’re early.’ I told him while glancing at the clock.

‘Well, I was hoping we could have a sort of breakfast/lunch kind of thing? And I already asked Clay, he is totally cool with it.’

‘He is?’ I asked surprised.

‘Yeah. Although, I might have used the card of “you just dumped your boy friend and you most definitely need a couple of extra hours of relaxation”, and here we are.’

‘You did?’

‘Funny, he was just as surprised as you are. Are you sure you two are not siblings of any sort?’

‘Totally not.’

‘Weird. Have I mentioned you look gorgeous? In case I haven’t, you look gorgeous today.’

‘Thank you. And thanks for, the much needed extra relaxation time permit from Clay.’ I said while blushing and air quoting “relaxation”.

‘Hey, no worries. Shall we?’
