Chapter Sixteen

 ‘Greece?!’ I found Amelia shouting at the middle of our agency building with her hands held high and excitement all over her face as soon as she saw me entre.

‘Wait! You’re going too?’ I asked her excitedly.

‘Wait, you’re going?’

‘I haven’t made up my mind yet. But Oh my God! If you’re going then I’m going!’

‘I wish, its Robert’s sister’s wedding this weekend, remember?’

‘Bugger!’ I said with a deep frown.

‘I know.’ She said with an expression mirroring mine.

‘Now now, I am deeply hurt Isabelle Pattinson.’ I found a terribly familiar voice saying behind me. While turning around, I saw Nathan with a playful smirk on his face and a hand on his heart, pretending that he’s hurt with Clay (with a wider smirk) beside him, both leaning on my desk.

‘Is that so?’

‘Absolutely. When I told you about Greece, you weren’t half as excited as when Amelia told you there.’ He said with puppy eyes and a frown just like little kids. I wanted to hug him.

You didn’t just think that!

‘Oh I am sorry.’ I said with a frown that slowly turned into a smirk.

‘No no! I will not accept your apology till you say you’re coming with!’ He said while stomping his feet while approaching me, again just like little kids.

I glanced at Amelia for help and I found her nodding at me accidently. Then I looked at Clay in the back and I found his smirk growing and nodding too.

‘Fine. But I get an sea view bedroom.’ I said stubbornly.

‘Already booked, only needs a confirmation call and we’re all set.’ Nathan said cheerfully.

‘Guess I’m going to Greece!’ I said, with a bit of “I’m trying to act excited here, but I am so not” which is terribly not true. I seriously could not wait.

‘Ha! Pay up!’ I found Nathan shouting at Clay.

Clay grumbled and got a fifty out of his wallet and handed it to Nate.

‘What are you guys on about?’ Amelia said. She reads my mind, really.

‘I set a bet with Clay that I’ll be able to convince you to come with and he said you wouldn’t.’ Nathan said proudly.

‘Is that so?’ I asked with a smirk and a thought already in mind.

‘Well in that case, I think I deserve the money more than you do, since I’m going to need to shop for this trip.’ I told him determinately.

‘What! No, this is my money, I earned it.’

‘Well, I guess I have to stay behind with Dad and Julian, pretty sure they’ll miss me.’ I said with a well acted sad attitude and headed out of the office in tiny steps.

‘Um Isabelle, maybe we can share?’

I turned around with a grin from ear to ear and eyes shining with excitement.

This is going to be fun.

If you told me, five months ago even, that I would be with Nathan Scott at the shopping mall right after working hours, shopping for our trip to Greece together, I would tell you that you’re insane. Well, true be told, I am the insane one here.
