Chapter 4

ROSS'S POV.

"Ross, the only person I like... Is you" Maia said looking me straight in the eyes

I was speechless. Was she joking and just messing with me?

"What?" I asked surprised

"I like you Ross" Maia said grabbing my hand

I got the chills when she grabbed my hand. I looked down at our hands and looked back into her eyes.

"Are you messing with me?" I asked Maia seriously

"No, why would you even say that?" Maia asked kind of disappointed

"I didn't think you liked me back. I mean after you kissed David and plus your dating Ramy" I said trying to make a point

"Well I only kissed David to make you jealous and I broke up with Ramy last night. And of course I like you, why wouldn't I? Your funny, sweet, nice and cute" Maia said getting closer to me and still looking me in the eyes

"Really?" I asked confused

"Yeah, I mean why do you think I kissed you back when you kissed me?" Maia asked

"Honestly, I don't know. That's why I was confused when at first you said you didn't like me but then you kissed me. But I mean I like you a lot Maia I always have" I said looking at Maia

Maia smiled and looked down, she looked back up at me and stared straight into my eyes. She started leaning in and so did I. We both closed our eyes and I could feel Maia's breath on my lips. As soon as I knew it our lips touched and Maia put her hands around my neck. We stopped kissing to catch our breath, we looked into each others eyes and Maia grabbed the back of my neck and smashed her lips against mine. I didn't even realize that I was on top of Maia, she must have slid under me. The kiss got more and more intense, Maia had one had around my neck and her other hand was messing with my hair. Me and Maia were having a full blown make out session on the couch. After 10 minutes of making out we both pulled away and caught our breath.

"Do you believe me that I like you now?" Maia asked

"I don't know, I don't think I've made my mind up yet?" I said smirking

Maia softly kissed me and wrapped her arms around my neck. After about a minute she pulled away and we put our foreheads together and smiled

"Better?" Maia asked

"Much better" I said holding her hand

"I should probably head upstairs, Rydel's probably wondering what's taking me so long" Maia said standing up

"Wait, how about we stay down here and-" I said as Maia cut me off

"And make out?" Maia asked questioningly

"I was gonna say watch a movie, but we can make out instead if you want" I said smiling

"Ha no, let's just watch a movie" Maia said as she sat back down next to me

"What movie do you want to watch?" I asked putting a blanket on us

"How about teen beach movie" Maia said cuddling up next to me

"Alright, it's starting" I said as I put my arm around my and as she put her head on my shoulder

About 30 minutes into the movie Maia looked up at me and kissed my cheek

"What was that for?" I asked smiling and looking down at her

"I don't know just felt like kissing your cheek" she said smiling

"Okay, fine with me" I said pulling her closer to me

"Ross can I ask you something?" Maia said

"Of course" I said

"How long have you liked me?" Maia asked looking up at me

"Since we started shooting teen beach movie" I said looking down at her

"You've liked me all this time and you never told me?" she asked

"Yeah I mean I guess I was nervous to tell you. And plus you were dating Ramy at the time so..." I said

"Oh. And one more thing, are we dating?" Maia asked still looking up at me

"Well considering we just made out for like 10 minutes, yeah I guess we are" I said happily

"Good" Maia said putting her head back down on my shoulder

"But Maia" I said sitting up

"Yeah?" she asked concerned

"What happens if we break up?" I asked

"Um I don't know Ross" Maia said sadly

"I just don't want it to be awkward around us if we break up. Because then we won't have a good friendship after that" I said

"Okay, then let's make a promise to each other that no matter what happens between us it won't ruin our friendship" she said half smiling

"Okay, I promise" I said letting Maia put her head back on my shoulder

"I promise" she said wrapping her arms around me

*1 hour later*

The movie was over and Maia fell asleep with her head resting on my shoulder and her arms wrapped around me. I looked down at Maia and just smiled at her. She looked so peaceful when she slept. I can't believe what had happened in the past 3 hours. Maia said she liked me, we made out for 10 minutes, and we started dating. I don't think I could ever forget this day. While I was thinking to myself I didn't realize Rydel was right in front of me.

"Aww! You guys are so cute together" Rydel whispered

"Thanks, and I'm gonna take her upstairs" I said getting up from the couch and picking up Maia bridal style

"Okay you can put her in my room" Rydel said

"I was actually gonna put her in my room" I said heading up the stairs

"Fine, but don't do anything nasty in there" Rydel said seriously

"Trust me we won't" I said going into my room

As I put Maia on my bed I pulled the covers over her and kissed her forehead. I went over to my dresser and put basketball shorts on and took off my shirt. I walked over to my bed and climbed in with Maia. As soon as I lied down next to Maia she cuddled up next to me and put her arm and head on me. I put my arm around her and thought about how this couldn't get any better.
