Chapter 8

ROSS' POV.

After the awards Maia pulled me aside where no one was. Maia turned around and faced me and began to talk.

"I need to talk to you" she said kind of nervously

"About what?" I said smirking at her

I was hoping she would talk to me in private because it only could mean one thing.

"Us" she said stepping a little closer to me

You could tell Maia was nervous because she kept pausing in between sentences. I was a little shocked to hear Maia say that she wanted to talk about our relationship. I was really hoping she eventually would but I wasn't expecting her to right now. I guess she could tell I was shocked so she continued to talk.

"I've been thinking a lot since the last time we talked about us and I wanted to let you know something" Maia said smiling

"And that would be?" I said smirking at her and stepping closer to her because I could tell where this was headed

"This" Maia said before she grabbed the back of my neck while smashing her lips against mine

I was kind of shocked at first so I just stood there for a couple seconds. I then realized what was happening and immediately kissed her back passionately. I put my hands on her waist trying to get our bodies closer together. I could feel Maia smile while we were kissing which made me smile while we were kissing. We pulled away from the kiss and rested our foreheads together. We both were breathing heavy and smiling. After a couple seconds I kissed Maia again with more passion then the first kiss. I separated from the kiss and just stared straight into her eyes.

"I love you Maia" I said breathing heavily from the kiss

Maia just stared at me for a minute and smiled.

"I love you too" she said also breathing heavily

"Are you sure this is what you want to do?" I asked making sure she didn't feel forced

"What do you mean?" she asked confused

"Like, are you positive you want to be in a relationship with me again?" I asked worried

"Ross..." She paused for a minute and put her arms back around my neck "I've never been more positive about anything in my life"

"Good, because I don't think I could ever get over you" I said placing my hands around her waist

I was about to kiss her again but she stopped me and started to talk.

"But before we get any farther into this, I need to break up with Evan" she said her smile fading

"Oh...right" I said remembering that Maia is still dating Evan

I guess Maia could tell that I was kind of worried about her and Evan because she immediately spoke up

"And Ross, nothing he says to me will make me change my mind" she said looking into my eyes

"I know" I said as a smile formed on my face

"We should probably get going" Maia said looking around

"Yeah probably" I said looking over in the direction she was looking

"I'll let you know how everything went tomorrow. I'll call you in the morning" Maia said slowly walking away

"Okay. And if you need anything just call" I said flashing her a smile

"Okay, I'll talk to you later" Maia said as she turned around and started walking away

"Maia wait!" I shouted trying to get her attention
