Chapter Two – A Glass To Friendship.
Friendship is built through trust alone, one lie could destry all trust that was built - Sophie Cross.
As we drove to our mothers and father house, we both deeply inhaled. Visiting our parents like this is daunting for us, especially as I am never normally in trouble with them. Megan slammed the door shut and stormed in while I took slow steady steps I felt as if I was visiting hell. Even as a young child I was never naughty so coming here today feeling like a poor child with a bag full of nerves was never a good look for me. I opened the silver doorknob as I walked in I could hear my mother was already shouting at poor Megan. My father came and saw me; he wrapped his hands around my back and kissed my forehead. I looked up at him before noticing he looked disappointed in me.
“Hey Daddy,” I said when he looked to my mother who followed Megan into the living room.
“Don’t look so scared, I am the one person in the world who you should not fear. Your mate on the other hand you should fear, let’s go in and try to defend your poor sister from your mother,” I nodded at him before following him. Megan looked at me and I could tell she was going to cry, I stood beside her. Very much as if, we was on the battlefield that is when I notice Davis. Davis looked much older than he did before I left. He sighed before sitting by Elijah.
“Megan, can we talk?” Davis asked when I saw my mother glaring at me. Megan took hold of my hand the same way she did when we was children and when she realised she was in trouble. I looked to Megan who pleaded me with her eyes not to let her go with him.
“I have nothing to say to you Davis,” She said when I looked to my mother who was looking down at the floor. Davis stood up and roughly grabbed Megan by the hand in which she responded with a cry of pain which left her lips. Our father stood up and shot Davis a warning look which said “Leave her alone”, Davis backed away from Megan and it finally dawned on me. How forceful he was with her, was he always that way in private but worse. Megan walked away from Davis and run into her bedroom leaving me alone glaring at him. Davis was about to follow when I stepped in the way “Don’t even think about it,” I hissed at him.
I pushed him away from me and the door in which I run into Megan's room slamming the door shut, I locked it when I turned around. She glanced up from the mirror when I saw the bruise he left on her arm; I walked over to her and hugged her when I heard her silent cries into my coat. As I moved apart from her, I pressed my finger to stop the overflow of make up running down her cheeks.
“Tell me the truth, why did you look for someone else?” I asked when she pushed her hands over her face; her eyes silently pleaded me to drop the subject.
“Because I was sick of it, I was sick of the way he treated me. The way he would bully me into activities, the way he whacked me across the face or punched me in the stomach when I refused to do what he wanted. I wanted to meet someone, someone who would not bully or be forced to love me. I met Louis in the nightclub and for the first time I felt alive with him. I felt the spark when he kissed me and that night when I slept with him, it was not by mistake. I wanted it, I wanted to be with him,” Megan said when I nodded understanding it. Davis was bullying her, hitting or punching her to get his own way. Her meeting Louis was by some chance a good thing and I understood it now. She wanted to fall in love on her own accord.
“How can I help?” I asked.
“I can’t reject Davis but I found this,” She said handing a piece of paper to me.
To grant the separation of mates, only the King of the Werewolf’s can do this. If separation is granted then both parties can move on. The King has only granted this twice, both in extreme cases.
