Chapter Fourteen – Temptation  

Hades and Persephone was punished for being in love. She was an angel and he was the devil when they tried to take her away, Hades could not imagine a life without her and kidnapped her one night. She would return every six months, to ensure the gods was doing their rightful duties. Each six months felt a drag until Hades decided to pass his world to the next person, he was called Lucifer and he will rule until the next person.

“Will a kiss make it better?” he asked. I turned around and looked at him.

“Yes.”

We both looked at each other before I realised how far we have crossed over the friend zone department. We are practically something more now, I found myself looking down and walking into the bathroom where I locked it. He was teasing me like he was last night.

“Sophie.” I sat on the toilet seat and wished he would leave me alone. After a couple of minutes I opened the door when I saw him there waiting on my bed. He got up and walked over to me, as he lifted my head up. I sighed when his eyes connected to mine. As he lowered his lips to my lips. My body started to heat up when he forced my mouth open. The kiss wasn’t rushed or mean, it was gentle and kind. I closed my eyes, I heard a moan escape his lips. I smiled into the kiss, when I felt him returned the smile. As we broke away he stepped back. He licked his lips when he looked at me, I took a step forward and reached up. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him. It felt wrong but right at the same time. It felt wrong because of who his brother is but he has moved on, so why can’t I move on?

When we broke apart for the second time. He smiled down at me. “I can’t believe I have to do this now, I have to leave for bit. I have a job to do, I will be back soon I promise. Save me your kisses.” Ben whispered when he kissed me and quickly left me. I cannot believe he has left after we kissed.

Once he left. He never returned.

“Hey it is me, Sophie. Um you have not come back to the apartment. I was wondering if you thought our kiss was a mistake, um if you do don’t worry just come back or ring me.” this was the sixth voice message and seventh text. I looked at the phone when I put it down. Did he regret it?

“I’m so sorry Sophie.” I jumped when I saw Gabriel, “He is gone.”

“I don’t understand.” Gabriel took a seat next to me. He took hold of my hand and made me look at him.

“I don't know how to tell you this, he died last night.” I stared at him in shock. My body would not move and my mouth could not speak. No words came out, nothing. I looked away from him and removed my hand. He could not be dead. I saw him yesterday, he kissed me yesterday. He told me he would come back. He promised me, he would come back. He would not lie to me on purpose. I know he would not lie to me. Ben would come back. He promised. Gabriel must be lying to me.
