Chapter Six – Cloned
In two weeks’ time would be Rose’s funeral Luke's cousin. I felt unsure whether I could comment on what I think would be good and what would not be. I did not want to offend Luke but some of the ideas seemed a bit over the top, he wanted an elephant at one point. In the end I decided to let him get on with it, whatever would make him grieve in his own way, is better than hiding it.
“Are you busy?” I asked Luke when he stopped and he turned towards me. As he put his papers down. His jaw clicked.
“Why what do you want?” He asked rather short-tempered.
“I’m actually thinking about going back to my parents for a couple of nights.” I said. His eyes locked to me and nodded.
“When will you be back?” He questioned.
“Before the funeral." I muttered. “Unless you need me here.” I quickly added. If he wanted me to stay to support him, I would. I just feel like I am getting in the way all the time.
“No, you go and be with your family. I will still be here when you come back. Just text me every couple of days to tell me that you are okay.” I nodded at Luke as I was about to walk away, he stopped me. When I turned around, he kissed me. As I closed my eyes, our mouth started to mould together. As he broke away, he kissed my nose “I just needed to know.” with that he walked away leaving me stunned and taken back. I grabbed my bags and left the castle. I need to make sure Luke held up his bargain about Megan.
After traveling home from a long journey of four hours, I opened the car door and saw my sister. She run up to me and hugged me wrapping her arms around me tight. As we backed away from each other. She had this big grin on her face telling me everything was great and she was finally happy.
“Thank you so much.” She grabbed me and hugged me again, “Thank you so much, I am so happy Soph. I am happy and I can tell that by your glow you are happy too. Is Luke treating you right?” As she grabbed my bag, she held onto my left hand while walking through the house.
“At first, he was a nightmare but one day we started to speak. Then I realised maybe he is not that bad after all.” I grinned when Megan winked at me.
“So have you two… you know?” She once more winked at me.
“Kissed yes. Nothing else, no.” I said crossing my hands when she stopped and laughed at me.
“You are meant to test the goods out before you marry him.”
“You disgust me Megan. Have some self-respect.” I muttered when she laughed.
“I have tons of self-respect all mighty one. Anyway idiot, have you missed me. I know you have by the amount of emails you have been stalking me with. Do you miss me? Have you forgotten me?” I could not help but roll my eyes. One thing my sister is famous for around this area, is acting like an idiot. Megan walked over and grabbed her phone.
“What are you doing?” I questioned. She grinned.
“This is my boyfriend. Want to see want he looks like?” She threw the phone at me in excitement as I caught it in time. I looked at the picture and was surprised, human are not normally very attractive to wolfs. We normally like the manly type, Megan's boyfriend who had golden hair that was shoulder length with glowing green eyes. Something did not feel right, why would his eyes be glowing.
