"i like you, jaebum. i like you a lot."

jaebum stared at the female in front of him in shock.

"y-you what?"

"i like you." she smiled, holding back the tears that were spurred by his hesitation. "a lot."

jaebum averted his eyes away from her face. "i don't really know what to say..."

she snuggled further into her scarf. "you like jieun right?"

his cheeks burned at the sudden mention of the name.

soyeon giggled. "that was the only answer i needed."

she turned around and continued walking towards her car.

"i'm sorry." he mumbled, loud enough to make her stop.

"don't be," she said, lacking the right around of confidence to face him. "it's not a big deal."

"how can your emotions not be a big deal?" he said, getting slightly mad at the lack of love she had for herself. 

"because i'm not your priority. jieun is, right? so anything other than her shouldn't be at the forefront of your mind." she let a tear slip out of her mind and gathered herself before she spoke again. "don't worry about it."

soyeon got in her car and drove away, leaving a guilt-ridden jaebum in the clutches of a cold winter's claws.
