Benni's POV:
I woke to a start I could here screaming, I turned over looking for Nate, but he was already gone! This couldn't be good.
I jumped out of bed and quickly looked in on Mason he was still sleeping. I snuck out of the room and down the hall. The screaming was coming from Ansley's room. I ran the rest of the way to find Ansley screaming, she was covered in blood. I shoved around Nate, and everyone else in the room, and gathered Ans in my arms. I took us to the bathroom, slamming the door. I started cleaning her off. None of the blood was her's! I didn't know who's blood it was or who was sick enough to do it! I washed Ansley off and took her back to bed. Everyone was still standing around her bed staring at the blood. I could see my brothers, Nate, and his men, all smelling around looking for the cause. They all looked up when I walked back in. "Guys, the bloods not her's!" I said with a fright. Their eyes all grew large.
They all took a big whiff of the scents in the room. I followed suit. I knew that smell that was.... OMG!! "NATE!! OH MY GOD!!! You all should know who's scent that is!" I swallowed. "That's her mate's blood!" I heard Hunter snarl and seen Nate tense. "Guys, I don't care, how much you hate him, without him she will die!" I snapped. Everyone knew what I was saying. "We'll send out a search party, everyone to the meeting room now!" Nate and Hunter barked together. This was the first time the were getting along and it was all for Ansley.
I put Ans back to bed and checked on Mason. They were both fine and safe before I headed down stairs. Nate and some of the guys were going to head out in search of her mate. Hunter and his men were to stay here and protect the pack and territory. "Nate!" I scolded. We just had a baby, I was not letting this go. "Benni, I'm doing this for our daughter." I knew what he was saying but I couldn't lose him. I knew how much he hurt me, but I loved him.
Nate saw what was going on behind my eyes. He walked over to me and gathered me in his arms. I heard Hunter and my brother's growling, last time they seen us together Nate was hitting me. I grabbed Hunter who was behind me and in arms reach. I pulled him to me and hugged him too. Soon all my brothers were gathered in also. I could tell they didn't like each other, but I felt their tension go away and felt them slightly relax.
"Nate, please be careful." I whispered.
