*Spoiler Warning*
Okay, guys, I kinda wanted to rant for a second. So apparently, they have picked an actress to play Lydia. Her name is Emmalee Abrams. I haven't seen concrete evidence on this yet, but it looks like it definitely might happen.
So I have a few concerns about this. I researched her extensively (as I always do when I find a girl who could possibly be a love intrest for Carl), and, while she is very pretty, there is a little problem. If you guys know Lydia, you know that she is 3 years older than Carl (Lydia is 16 while Carl is 13). So you would expect Lydia's actress to be older than Chandler to carry that out in the show.
But not only is Emmalee not as old as Chandler, she isn't even as old as me. I'm 14, if you didn't know. Well, to be fair, she's only a month younger than me but still. That's crazy. And she definitely can't pass off as older than Chandler. It seems wrong to me.
But there is a silver lining, my friends. Carl and Lydia don't have to have their comic book relationship. Enid could take care of the whole "Carl romance" part and Lydia could still easily carry out her comic storyline. Everyone was expecting Rick and Andrea to have their relationship in the show, but they never did. Rick and Michonne did. The same could be said for Carl and Lydia. Enid could be the person that Carl falls in love with and Lydia could still serve her purpose in the show that she does in the comics.
I don't know, how do you guys feel about Lydia's supposed incoming entrance to the show? Will her and Carl have their relationship?
