Anderson's Residence.
SNOW DIDN'T KNOW HOW was she supposed to tell this to her family. It was going to hurt. But, this was important. The option was either to fight or to flee.
Her teacher once said, "A leader always faces the hurdles and walks on the bed of thorns so that the way of the people dependent on him can be a smooth path covered with roses"
Just few blocks away and she will have to confront her parents. Her palms begin to sweat.
Drake watched how his little star had almost finished three bottles of water. It was a sign of nervousness. Whenever Snow was nervous she used to feel her throat burn and what else better than water could be the remedy.
Drake was aware that when Snow was nervous she needed to be alone and when she couldn't handle emotions she needed to sleep. He gave her the time to herself.
Finally he pulled through the driveway of Snow's house. He turned off the engine and called out for Snow. "Little star....can you tell me what's bothering you?"
"Come in Drake." She simply stated.
Della was baking muffins in the kitchen while Clayton was flirting with her.
When Snow entered she saw her parents, all in love. After twenty-six years of being together, they still couldn't get enough of each other. As a kid she always wished to find love like her parents. But alas, she was going to be wedded to a stranger.
"Mom, dad, please come over to the living room."
Della was blushing really hard. She was as red as tomato because her daughter had watched their little moment.
Mr. and Mrs. Anderson took a seat on the sofa. Drake sat on the chair and Snow stood in front of them.
She inhaled deeply before starting, "You all know I was meeting the CEO of the Garner Enlightment today, right? She paused for them to answer and when they nodded she continued, "It's done. I have signed the contract." She sharply exhaled and everyone else gasped in shock.
The look on Clayton and Drake's face made it harder for her to tell them when the wedding was supposed to be. She knew she had to somehow. She gathered all her courage and boldly spoke. "The contract said that in order for the merger to take place the CEO's of both the company have to be married" she paused to see their faces, then continued "in one month."
"What!" All three of them stood up, horror written all over their faces.
Della started sobbing.
Clayton wore a blank expression.
Drake was filled with rage.
"I know it's difficult but it's necessary for the company." Snow tried to ease their worry.
"Snow, you don't have to do this Hun." Clayton tried to persuade her.
"Dad, the decision is made and the contract is signed. I can't backtrack now."
Della walked over to Snow and embraced her in a tight hug. After a while she asked,"Are you happy?"
Snow's thoughts wandered over to Willow. In a short period of time she saw something in him that was unlike any of the news she read. Everyone says that his cold-heartened. Of course she saw that part of his character too, and if she was honest with herself she'd admit that she was a bit intimidated by it. But then again she saw the soft part of him too.
