Maze Mansion.

FOR THE FIRST TIME in 5 years the night didn't seem so bad. The nightmares were replaced by dreams. Suddenly waking up after the sunrise brought a smile on Willow's face. He straightened his back and rested it on the headboard of his king size bed. It felt so empty.

Just a month and the wait will be over.... He sighed running his hand on the sides of his bed.

A knock on the door startled him.

He yelled, "Come in." and in walked Mrs. Evelyn Garner with a goofy smile on her face.

She walked over to Willow, who was yet on the bed, and ruffled his hair after hugging him like always.

He groaned in frustration, "Ugh... Mom!"

Evelyn just laughed out loud.

"Well son, congratulations." She wished and kissed him on both of his cheeks.

"Thanks Mom." He replied with a smile.

I guess Martin was right. Snow has something in her that makes everyone happy. It's been so long since he has smiled in the mornings....

"What is it mom?"

His question seem to bring her back, she straightened up and began, "Will, since there is only a month left for your marriage, your dad and me thought that we should get to know Snow and her family. So today when you go on your date, I want you to ask her if she and her family are free this weekend. We can all go out for a weekend trip."

"Hmmm...." Willow contemplated a bit on the idea, "Okay. I'll ask her about it."

It was Evelyn's chance to thank him now.

They discussed a few things about life, work, profit, loss, etc. Evelyn noticed that only a single meeting with Snow had stirred the old Willow to life.....a bit. She couldn't wait to meet her future daughter-in law. The simple idea of it got her grinning from ear to ear.

She had decided to give Willow his space but her curiosity got the best of her. "Will, can you tell me about yesterday?" her eyes pleading like a 5 year old's.

Willow smirked. This question was very much expected. "Mom, you know how observant I am right?" she nodded. "So I rather you know her for yourself or where will be the thrill of knowing your daughter-in-law.?"

His smirk was instantly replaced by embarrassment. He knew how his mother can get when she's curious. He wished to see her whine but turns out that his comebacks only made his cheeks flush.

Looking at her son embarrassed for the first time Evelyn burst out laughing till she had tears rolling off her eyes.

"Wil-Wil-Oh god!" she clutched her stomach due to the unbearable pain caused by her laughter. "Willow your blushing." She finally managed to control them. "By the way, where are you taking her for coffee?"

"Oh shoot Mom! I have to take her out for coffee. I completely forgot." Willow said in panic.

"Oh dear! I suggest you take her by Great Lakes. The ambiance is perfect for a first date." She said in excitement.

"Mom for the last time, IT .IS. NOT. A. DATE."

Evelyn giggled as she replied, "Keep telling it to your-self."

Just then her phone began to ring, glancing at the caller ID she immediately answered, "Hey Lucy.....okay I'll be there in 10." Turning to Willow she hugged him and got up to leave but not before saying, "Woo my daughter-in-law Will!" She winked and walked out of Willow's great bedroom, leaving him all red once again.

He groaned and got off the bed. He briskly showered and got dressed in casuals. He had texted Snow the address and the time earlier, when he came back there was a reply with a, 'Okay...looking forward to be there'

Those simple words flattered his heart. With one last look at his appearance he exited his mansion.

Great Lakes Coffee.

"SUNDAY IS A DAY for church, family and friends." Snow's mom always used to tell it to her since she was a kid.

Snow's family deeply believed in god and so did she. So after attending the mass she saw a text from Willow Garner stating, "Great Lakes Coffee @10:30." She couldn't help but smile. It was a step to the new beginning.

Snow always liked to be 15 minutes early at all the places. So here she was sitting by a table next to the glass, waiting for Willow.

She had been at Great Lakes Coffee twice before. The entire decor was made up of pure wood. It served coffees, snacks and alcohol too. It was one of the finest coffee shops of midtown Detroit. Detroit is situated at the heart of the Great Lakes Megalopolis hence almost every shop you could possibly know is addressed after 'Great Lakes' here.

"Hello Snow! Did I keep you waiting too long?"
