The Knock on the Door

Savannah's POV

  I tore her out of my heart but she will never leave my life! I can't believe she did this to me. Brooke was. my one and only true best friend had she always been this mean, and I was just blind to her evil? Or is this all due to moving to California. From the first day I got to Orange County Day school (OCD) my enthusiasm disappeared. 

KNOCK KNOCK.

"Come on in." I answer my bedroom door. My mom steps in. "Savannah, I just received and interesting call from your school." She looks extremely disappointed.  "What do you mean?" My mind begins to race, Had Brooke gone to the office with some fake gossip about me?

My mom impatiently stomps her foot on the ground. "You skipped school. Savannah I thought we raised you better than that, don't you know how important your education is? They didn't receive a sick call  you weren't there the whole day, asked if this was all and they said no! "

My mom loses her temper. I gulp hard. "They have footage of you kissing some boy in the hallway in front of a crowd!" She continues. "Mom I-" I try to reason with her, but I must admit, kissing what's his name in front of everyone to prove I've changed, was a bit odd. "Did you kiss him for no reason? Was it a dare? And where were you when you skipped school?! Were you with Sage?" She goes into a rant about me being a

one with a boy.

I feel awful for putting her into this panic, but my mind switches to a whole new channel by her next question. "Savannah, are you...having.. being intimate, with Sage?"  My jaw drops to the floor. I wouldn't do that! Sage respects me and I respect him. Now if I would have said that out loud instead of must standing here like a ninny, she wouldn't feel the need to be searching my room.. like she is now.

"Answer me sweet heart. If you are, I won't be angry." That is a lie if ever I  heard one. Mom crawls under my bed, then opened my desk drawer, and next goes through my closet. "Okay, I'm coming to assume for the moment that you are not doing things with Sage, but you are grounded for three days." I look down and nod my head. Mom leaves my room.  I growl and stomp my paw on the ground. "Oh my DOG!!" I scream into a pillow.

I thought California girls got away with everything!  I turn my stereo on and put in one of my Cd's. Immediately one of my favorite songs "Come get your ride." The song gives my mind a chance to stop racing. it reminds me of when Sage and I were at Brooke's party.. But I slam the stereo as I think about the scratch she gave me.

Ugh Dog she is such a she demon. "Savannah, I'm going to the grocery store, I'm buying dinner there so your gonna be fending for yourself tonight." Mom calls to me. She always leaves after an argument. I'm fine with it,this way I can secretly call Lina.  I open my door. "Okay mom." I say. I see her grab her keys and walk out the door.  I run to the kitchen and grab the phone, fumbling over the numbers as I make my way back to my room. "Hello?" Lina's butler answers.

  "Hi this is Savannah Reed, is Lina available?" I Put on  my most proper voice. "Miss. Angelina will be down shortly." Her Butler informs me. I wait silently and all of a sudden' music begins to play. No way, they have hold music! and its not boring! "Hey Savvy!" Lina's voice stops the music. "Hey beautiful,haha, I have so much to vent to you about, oh no! I didn't think to call Gennie, could you add her in?" Panic washes over me. I know Gennie has been feeling left out a bit. "No need Sav, I'm at Lina's. Gennie!  I'm so excited to hear her voice!

I tell them all about my mom's confrontation with me and how she searched my room and stuff like that. I feel that they are actually listening they even add in a few comments about how awful an event is. I could never ask for better friends. BEEP BEEP

My phone announced another call. I quickly click the talk button. The caller is added into our conversation. "Hello?"
