Some Much Needed Explanation

What's going on... I start to look around, then I see what looks like Sans and Azriel appear right in front of me. Sans is looking away from me, with Azriel looking up at Sans' back, though I can't see either of their faces.

"Flowey, i need your help. i have something planned for the kid, and i know you were friends back then, but you know she has to be stopped, right?"

"Guess you haven't been keeping as good an eye on her as you could have, she threw a fireball at me when I first saw her! And I know her plan, but I've already got it covered. She's gonna pay for trying to kill me!"

"Flowey, 1,080,849... that is the number of times she has killed you. every time she destroys this world and starts again, i know what happened previously, you don't. you were never trying to hurt her in any of them, but even if you stood a chance before, you're nothing to her now. which is why we need to work together to stand any sort of chance. you in?"

"What are you planning, Smiley Trashbag?"

"it's not what i have planned, it is what has been planned... and if you join us, we can bring her down once and for all, but that can't happen if you die, capiche?"

"I'm listening, but who is the 'us?'"

"Alphys and Asgore, i've already got them on board, and all we need is you for the plan to work. i'm sure you've already pieced together that this is the last timeline?"

"Yeah, it seems Chara's finally has her perfect ending in sight. But how do you suppose we intervene?"

"i've had decades on decades to think about the perfect plan to stop someone like her and study them on just this day alone, not to mention with you. but you have to understand, i need to know if you're with us, i'm not telling anything else until i get a yes, or a no."

"Okay, yes, I'm in. But how do I come into play with all of this?"

"easy, i've been watching the kid forever now, and even today, she won't kill you right off the bat, she'll play with you, most likely try to trap you to monologue before giving the final blow. you're going to meet her as normal in the old house, talk to her like nothing ever happened between you two. she's already had a wild temper, but now she's even more unstable, at about the second time you try to stop her, she'll do something, but i know you can dodge a few attacks no problem, and then you'll try to go back into the ground, since you have no soul so she can't turn anything blue and you'll be immediately countered by a blue bone attack. you can just walk through it with no problem to escape, but you have to remember: before you escape, you need to say that you'll fight her soon, wait your turn. but don't say it word for word from me, just get the points across, and go back into the ground and report to me. you got it?"

"I do, but why tell her I'm going to fight her later, I thought you didn't want me to die?"

"i don't want you to die, Flowey. you're too useful to me, and i'm not going to let anyone else die by her hands' once she gets to me."

"So why have me do all of that if you're going to just win the battle between you two?"

"because, i'm not going to win against her."

"What do you mean?"

"i've never truly won against her, not even once. i'm going to try my hardest, and if i can spare everyone from having to deal with her, then i will. But i'm not going to win, i'm going to buy as much time as i can for the rest of my plan to be ready. and after i die, then everything goes into play, and that's where you come in again. you'll watch from afar, waiting for Alphys to play a recording i made for the kid, and afterwards, she'll start walking down the hall, where you'll come in and wait for her to talk."

"How do you know she'll talk to me and not just kill me?"

"because whether she likes it or not, i know her. and after she talks, you need to make her think you refused my plan to stop her, and initiate a battle, but not one you intend on winning. you'll fight like normal, you're not fast enough to dodge all of her projectiles and you'll at least get hit by a few, which'll bring up her ego... then after you've taken a little damage, you need to go into the ground, and come up where in between you and her, is this tile," he finished, pointing to the ground a few feet away from him. I guess he recorded this in the Judgement Hall. After a few seconds, giving Azriel time to look at the tile, he starts to talk again.

"with that tile, we'll have automated dart guns shoot right as she passes it, knocking her out cold in a few seconds flat. then you'll go tell Asgore and Alphys; Asgore will carry her to the true lab under Alphys' lab where they'll try to extract the determination from her."

"You made it sound like there'd be more to it than just that, so what happens after?"

"she impales herself with her spears and it sets her back to after she killed me. infuriated by almost being defeated, she'd scream out. prompting you and Alphys to relay another message. i still need you for a few more things with her afterwards, but until then you'll stay and watch her through cameras to help Alphy know what message to play, though she'll most likely just scream out what just happened, in case she doesn't or isn't very clear with her yells, you'll be the extra insurance for whatever goes down."

"Okay, so what other things do you need from me other than insurance?"

"well, after that transmission is over, or transmissions depending on what she says afterward, Alphys'll tell you all about the transmissions later, but after that, she'll start walking down the hall again, and you'll pop up out of the ground to tell her congratulations on passing plan A, and hint towards me having a ton of plans afterwards, along with getting in that you 'might' be in more plans later, but she'll just have to wait and see. she hates not knowing how everything will play out."

"What do you mean hint towards you having more plans, do you not have more plans?"

"oh i do, but that level of her not being sure exactly how many will play with her a little, and benefit us in the future. you might want to get going as to not be late... good luck Azriel, i'm sorry i won't be able to help you out in the future, but you'll do fine." But Azriel was already gone, I was expecting the transmission to cut out, but then Sans turned and looked almost directly at me before it cut out and resumed where he actually was looking at me.

"well that's about everything up until now that you need to know, kid. i know you got past all my tests. it appears we are at an impasse. for now." I stayed silent, knowing he'd answer my questions if I waited long enough.

"why aren't you saying anything?"

"But... you- What?"

"you still think i'm a hologram, he he, guess i'm better at acting than i thought, but Alphys and the other holograms made it all possible. yeah kid, we're at a standstill for now, but soon..." The six human souls flew out from the other room and started to surround him, spiraling his body in a circle.

"you are not going to get away this time... prepare to die."

I wasn't thinking, I didn't have my knife, and the souls were just about to be absorbed by him. I threw a spear right at him, hoping it'd get there in time, and it did, but it phased through him as the souls flew inward and behind him as the hologram of Sans looks up at me with a wink just before it cut out. "gotcha."

I was in a little bit of shock, and was so confused, but I snapped out of it as I saw Azriel looking right at me with a big smile. He was using the souls to make me believe Sans was about to absorb them, while he did instead. "Heya Chara. You ready? Because I am."

The room went dark, I knew this wasn't good, but this seems to be Sans' final plan to stop me, if I can get past Azriel this world will be mine. I start to get ready for the fight, but I can't help shiver a little as he lets out a room-shaking laugh from deep within the shadows.
