I dropped to the ground and looked at the sixty or so people still waiting. I turned back on my shield, and charged. Some charged me, and soon they all joined in. With all the SOUL's abilities, now I can test what they can really do.

I stood in a field of blood and broken bodies. With the glass containers breaking their voice and control, the SOULs gave no resistance; I was able to switch between much easier, and the powers even seemed to follow my will with less effort, if even by a little bit.

I looked across the bodies all around one final time, with no SOULs being over them. I crushed them all as to not leave that power hanging around. I dusted myself off, leaving the battlefield without a spot of blood on me thanks to the shield, heading to my village.

It was going to be a long walk. The sun was still high in the sky, not even noon yet. It would take a few hours at least to walk all the way to the village, but I don't have anything better to do. I started my journey, leaving my shield up as the level I have it at doesn't waste much power at all, and there's nothing to test more of the abilities on.

I've been walking for about ten minutes straight. The shield still is going strong, without much energy wasted. The mountain has gotten slightly bigger, but in total I know I'm still very far away from my destination.

But my walking is interrupted by the sound of an approaching helicopter. It's heading in rather quick, but down a straight path. I see someone looking out of the back, guns in hand. It's no good from there, but in my case. I take down the shield, switch to Justice and start to line up my shot. I power it with a little Determination, but no doubt enough to cut through the metal. I get ready to fire as it closes in, thirty meters away, until I catch a glimpse of something coming at me in the very corner of my peripheral vision.

I catch it without much of a problem, looking at a relatively large tranq dart, and to where it was shot. There stood a lone soldier, one that wasn't part of the original army I fought. I guess I can't be surprised that the army won't stop trying to stop me, even after such a tremendous loss of their life. Me and the single male soldier stare at each other for a second.

I turn to Integrity, weighing him down to the point where he can't properly aim his gun, then looking towards the helicopter, judging its distance.

After a few more seconds I switch the gravitation on the soldier towards the helicopter, watching him fly helplessly towards it, increasing the pull to correctly line up the shot. The impact alone throws the helicopter off balance, and with the side that hit completely dented inward, it doesn't take long for it to fall down, diving into the ground with a hearty crunch of both metal and bone.

That was uneventful. Did they not even have more people to send? No matter, now nothing's stopping my path. I put up the shield and continue.

It takes about another ten minutes, presumably how much time it takes in general for people to get out here, for another person to arrive. This time it's only one.

He drove in a relatively armored van, getting out a few blocks away. Before I could act, he held up his left hand for me to stop as he put a megaphone up to his mouth. "You know, I sent that chopper for the specific reason of getting you to come peacefully, and even left a message inside for you to find if you did happen to crash it. Yet you completely ignored it didn't you?"

I don't have time for this. I turned back to Integrity, pulling him across the ground all the way to me, cutting off the power three fourths the way, giving me time to put back up the shield, and having him stop rolling ten feet away. "It had nothing of value, so there was no use in its continued existence, especially not enough for me to check it out afterward. Not to mention the guns on board, and the soldier who shot at me while I was in the process of taking it down."

He was a five and a half foot man, wearing a fancier getup than the men before, probable an indication of a higher rank, with a brightly colored light blue pin in the middle of his chest. He got up and dusted himself off, looking back to see the dust cloud he had made, along with the megaphone halfway between him and the car he drove here with, then turned back to me, and with fear in his eyes, he still stood tall. "The guns were safety measures, for the most part. And the shooter was most likely trying to stop you from killing his fellow men, as well as being a basic failsafe if things went south. Though I guess in hindsight-"

I turned him blue and pulled him down to his knees, effectively shutting him up. "Enough. Get to the point. How many more men are you planning on sending to get killed? It's annoying."

"Well I guess if the higher up generals at the next base see that I haven't been able to get the message to you without dying, they will send as many as possible until it is." He was visually starting to panic more, still under enough pressure to barely be able to keep himself up.

I pulled him down a little more, not enough to bring him down, but enough for him to notice so I'd have his complete attention. "I don't have time for this. You're lucky I'm curious, because you would have been dead far before you stopped the car if that weren't the case. Now what is the reason for your arrival? You have one sentence to convince me not to crush you right now. Go," I finished calmly, letting him take a few breaths to calm his nerves first.

"We need your help."
